Dear all,

I'm booking some dates for ANTOINE CHESSEX.

Born in Vevey in 1980, Antoine Chessex is a composer and sound artist
whose works span compositions for ensembles, solo performances, sound
installations and transdisciplinary collaborations.

His compositions and performances possess a raw energy and are
characterized by textural density as well as a strong focus on the
physical dimensions of sounds and spaces.

Recent compositional works include DUST for three violins and electronics
(commissioned by Swiss Arts council Pro Helvetia), Chute for the
Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin, Schichten for the Oh ton Ensemble,
Metakatharsis for the Phoenix Ensemble and Furia for the Ensemble Werktag.

The works of Antoine Chessex have over the years crossed the boundaries
between noise, modern composition, improvisation and electronic music. His
background as a saxophone player saw him performing extensively in
different experimental music contexts over the past decades.

After relocating to Berlin in 2002, Chessex took parts in a broad range of
artistic projects while developing solo performances playing his horn
through electronic devices, guitar amps and PA systems resulting in
intense live actions. He performed solo at numerous international
festivals and venues worldwide.

In recent years, he has departed from a purely instrumental activity
focusing on compositions and transdisciplinary projets.

Chessex is also a founding member of the band Monno with whom he recorded
4 albums and toured extensively.

Past performances include Cafe OTO (London), Transmediale festival
(Berlin), Ultima contemporary music festival (Oslo), Videotage (Hong
Kong), Diapason Gallery (New York), Issue Project Room (New York), The Lab
(San Francisco), The Compound (San Francisco), Tuned City festival
(Berlin), Sonic Protest festival (Paris), Unsound festival (Krakow),
Archipel festival (Geneva), Women (Los Angeles), Ultra Hang festival

Dear all,

I’m booking some dates for OKKYUNG LEE.

She is available between 24th and 31st January 2013.

Cellist Okkyung Lee is one of the most dynamic forces in improvised music today, a fearless and powerful performer whose playing incorporates a love of noise, extended technique and elements from the outer fringes of contemporary composition.

A native of Korea, Okkyung Lee has been developing her own voice in a contemporary cello performance and improvisation. Using her classical training as a springboard, she incorporates jazz, sounds, Korean traditional music, and noise with extended techniques.

Since moving to New York in 2000, she has performed and recorded with numerous artists such as Derek Bailey, Jaap Blonk, Nels Cline, Anthony Coleman, Mark Dresser, Shelley Hirsch, Susie Ibarra, Vijay Iyer, Eyvind Kang, Alonzo King, Christian Marclay, Raz Mesinai, Min Xiao-Fen, Thurston Moore, Ikue Mori, Lawrence D. “Butch” Morris, Jim O’Rourke, Zeena Parkins, Marc Ribot, Marina Rosenfeld, Elliott Sharp and John Zorn to name a few.

Okkyung holds dual bachelor’s degrees in film scoring/contemporary writing & production from Berklee College of Music, and master’s degree in contemporary improvisation from New England Conservatory of Music.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Dear all,

I'm booking some dates for BELCHSINGERSONGGRINDER.
He is available from 7th March 2013 onwards....

Belchsingersonggrinder started in winter 2000 as a oneman rock-act,
playing drums, guitar and vocals at the same time. It sounded as a mix of
Captain Beefheart with the heaviness of noiserock like Unsane.
Belchsingersonggrinder played around, made recordings in Holland and
abroad. After a while he wanted to add more color in the soundspectrum and
more variation in structures, so the music changed into a more impro and
freeform craziness, still with strong percussive elements. From time to
time it touched experimental sound-art. He began to use tapeloops and his
homebuild electronics. Belchsingersonggrinder as a noise-act. Hysterical.
And after some years he wanted to change it again, revise his actions. The
7" vinyl 'Siblings Estate' b/w 'Indian Laundryservice': Two songs
originally composed on toy-organ and cardboard box. A little bit of a turn
in my way of making music; more planned, less chaotic freeform noise. More
use of his homebrew-electronics and a very organised way of
recording/production. These two songs were the start of a whole series of
new songs and approach of making music; simple structures recorded on
cassette first, then further developed. The new work became, light,
undistorted, clear, sometimes funny even.

I hope to hear from you asap.

I’m booking some dates for SETH FAERGOLZIA + JOHN LUDINGTON (both known as FOREST CREATURE. They are available on 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th March 2012. SETH FAERGOLZIA In his first band Dufus, Seth Faergolzia lead what was possibly the most creative and well-loved underground band in the Anti-folk/Freakfolk communities of New York City and beyond, stacking up 10 albums and numerous tours through the US, Europe, and Japan (including performances with such acts as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Moldy Peaches, Ween, Black Dice, Jeffrey Lewis, Animal Collective and others) as well as a press reputation that often name-dropped stylistic comparisons to Frank Zappa, Deerhoof, The Moldy Peaches, Devendra Banhart, and The Dirty Projectors. In addition to recording over 20 full-length albums under his solo moniker or in collaborative projects, Seth Faergolzia is also a clothing designer, painter and sculptor. He has written well over 1,000 songs. His new solo music demonstrates the same boundless musical creativity and vocal acrobatics as his former band, but with an increasingly honed wisdom and intimacy. Seth Faergolzia’s uniquely virtuosic combination of weirdness and warmth continues to set him ahead of his contemporaries. His most recent album DUFUS: ETH (now on CD and vinyl) is a farewell to the Dufus project; it was fan-funded and released in September 2010 on the night of Dufus’ sold out 13th Anniversary performance in New York City. Such artists as Regina Spektor and Adam Green joined the band on this special evening. Seth Faergolzia is now taking to the road with a “one-man-band” setup: an added bass drum on his foot and keyboard/noise and iPod at his fingertips, adeptly operated amidst vocals and acoustic guitar. Recent solo sets draw together new songs, improvisations, electronic samples, and select material from the 13-year history of Dufus, making each night a unique creative experience. JOHN LUDINGTON John Ludington, alt-folk out of Arcata, Ca., has been called “…the lovechild of Beck and Frank Zappa…who has to be considered one of the most daring and interesting songwriters on ye olde North Coast… » Andrew Goff (Northcoast Journal). Born and raised in upstate New York, John has been writing and performing since his father taught him his first chord at age 9. By 14, he had formed and fronted his first band, Barefoot Gravediggers, who performed to consistently large and devoted crowds. Their full length release, ‘Chewing Lessons De España’ is still a sought after favorite. John’s travels have led him to busk the subways of Boston, compose the score for a stilt walking piece for The Carpetbag Brigade, and play bass for Absynth Quintet, a popular gypsy-grass band of which he is currently a member. Throughout these adventures, John continues to write songs and has acquired a huge cache of material including four full length albums. His latest release, ‘Finn’, is being met with enthusiastic acclaim. ‘Finn’ has the soul of a sawdust strewn three-ring circus. John’s virtuosic guitar arrangements, interlacing melodies and engaging lyrics all work in simpatico to culminate into a one-man calliope. ‘Finn’ is an album of sound pictures about fallen superheroes, ghost haunted halls of a condemned asylum, the fever dream of a cubicle bound office worker and visions of the intellectual revolution, all captured through the lens of John’s vivid imagination. “My very talented friend John Ludington just finished a new record. It’s called Finn. He is one of the most creative and unique writers! Some other friends participated in the art/music on this record too- it’s very special…” Regina Spektor (singer/songwriter) « John’s music makes you feel like you’re part of a club. A club of earthlings, all spinning around the sun, innocent, curious, beautiful. I think if aliens come, John should be the first to say hi. » Devin Farren (singer/songwriter) « …how Nick Drake would have sounded if he’d run away and joined the circus in his teenage years. » Steve Small (Daydream Generation) I hope to hear from you soon. Dear all,

I'm booking some dates for Gren Bartley.
His avails are: 8th, 9th, 11th March 2013

“As an acoustic finger-picking guitar and banjo player he has few

if any equals in his age group; as an acoustic rooted-in-folk writer he's

developing an alarmingly good canon of work" - R2 Magazine

Gren Bartley is a prolific and exceptional songwriter. He is constantly
touring and forever writing. The new album “Winter Fires” (out Spring
2013) is set to build further upon the success of 2012’s critically
acclaimed “Songs To Scythe Back The Overgrown”.

“A quiet triumph, no less” - fRoots

Showcasing his “phenomenal” guitar playing and poetry driven lyrics, the
new album also marks the first time Gren will be performing some of the
tour with his band. This new line up reinforces Bartley’s highly regarded
musicianship and penchants for catchy melodies and absorbing narratives.
“If awe inspiring albums really are delivered through vivid dreams whilst
slipping in and out of illness induced delirium, then I want what Gren
Bartley had. "Songs To Scythe Back The Overgrown" is an album that will
enhance his reputation, not only as a top guitar and banjo picker, but
also as a wordsmith and fully fledged troubadour. He wields his serrated
edge sound with surgical precision, cutting deep into your psyche and then
seeing which nerves reach the heart strings, which ones operate the tear
ducts and which ones just get the feet tapping. A game changing album.” -
FATEA Magazine
Gren is touring relentlessly either solo, as a duo or with the full band.
The workshops he hosts in guitar playing and songwriting have been
described as “brilliantly fresh”. Gren is truly the future of folk
songwriting, using his influences from folk and blues traditions to bring
something unique to this modern day troubadour. He is an artist not to be
