At a studio he started with Brian Eno in Brooklyn, he has since realized albums by Sonic Youth, Swans, John Zorn, Africa Bambaataa, The Dresden Dolls, Herbie Hancock’s Rockit, Boredoms, Helmet, White Zombie, Cop Shoot Cop, Material/Bill Laswell, Foetus, Serena Maneesh and others. He has also contributed to albums by Iggy Pop and The Ramones. In the last year he released a CD, Sirens Of The Apocalypse and an EP, Son Of A Gun on Contraphonic CINEMA CINEMA Cinema Cinema = Black Flag + Babes in Toyland + Hella…If Lemmy started a knife fight with The Stooges and punched Kim Thayil in the face as a warm-up… it might sound like Manic Children & The Slow Aggression…disturbing, yet intriguing. These guys sound like each song is life and death. It reminds me of a passion that I have not seen in music in a long time, of a band who is so dead set on trying to carve a new identity…Blue Cheer meets Raw Power Iggy and the Stooges..insanely intense KGZ TRIO Formed in 2005, the « Guillaume Bellanger Trio » BGZ is Guillaume Bellanger on saxophones, Etienne Zemniak on drums and Patrice Grente on doublebass. Influenced by american free jazz (Albert Talylor, Charles Gayle, Cecil Taylor…) this group has an approach to music which questions the relation sound/ space / time, constantly testing its limits. Always looking to evolve and at the same time marked by the freest form of jazz, the trio has played with some of the great names of the free music world today, such as Paul Rogers, Paul Dunmall, Jean-Luc Cappozzo… Each of the members has a wide and varied experience from composition to solo improvisation, electronics, electro-acoustic, installations, performance…and it is this experience which enrichens their approach to the traditional form of the jazz trio sax-bass-drums. I hope to hear from you asap. Regards. Alain Some Noise C/O Alain Bolle PO BOX 43 1050 Brussels 5 Belgium info@somenoise.be https://debloque.wordpress.com http://www.lesateliersclaus.com
