PAUL ASHLEY
Ashley Paul is an American performer and composer based in London. She
uses an array of instruments including saxophone, clarinet, voice,
guitar, bells and percussion, mixing disparate elements to create a
colorful palate of sound that works its way into her intuitive songs;
free forming, introverted melodies. This blend manifests beautiful and
simple musical forms against acoustic experimentation.
Ashley has performed or recorded with Phill Niblock, Rashad Becker, Nik
Colk Void, Loren Connors, Heatsick, Aki Onda, C. Spencer Yeh, Anthony
Coleman, Bass Clef, Joe Maneri, Joe Morris, Seijiro Murayama, Greg
Kelley, Bill Nace and Eli Keszler appearing on such labels as Important,
PAN, ESP-DISK’ and Tzadik

TWIRLY MIX
Twirly Mist is an electronic composer and songwriter with a love of edgy sounds, crooner songwriting and experimental but somehow groovy rhythms and synthlines.

e-SaxBow
In their approach around electronic and contemporary music, Florent Colautti and François Wong dive into the deep of the matter, the character and quality of sound created by « hybridization » of their two instruments. They travel down a path where noise and rhythms, like pitched sounds, interact and allow for the creation of new soundscapes. Still they don’t ignore the foundation of the acoustic sound. Florent plays a homebuilt string instrument called an « e-String » that uses electromagnetic bows, which he pilots through his computer. Pulse and continuous textures are then processed for shaping alive abstract material. François plays baritone saxophone, which is connected to his computer and various pedal effects. He focuses on wave processes to transform the acoustic sound to take distance form the instrument, but his breath is always there…

SABIR MATEEN – JUOZAS MILASIUS
Sabir Mateen is one of the central persons of the New York improvisers scene. Gradually evolving from alto to tenor saxophone, he has been through a number of musical transformations. He has or is performing with Cecil Taylor, Sunny Murray, William Parker, Alan Silva, Butch & Wilber Morris, Raphe Malik, Steve Swell, Mark Whitecage, Roy Campbell, Matthew Shipp, Marc Edwards, Jemeel Moondoc, William Hooker, Henry Grimes, Rashid Bakr, Kali Fasteau and numerous
others. http://www.sabirmateen.com [2]
Juozas Milasius, guitarist, composer and author of various performances, the enfant terrible of the Lithuanian jazz scene.
Probably no other Lithuanian jazz musicians has stirred up so much controversy as the experimenting conceptualist Juozas Milašius.
Having made his stage debut in 1986, he earned the reputation of the most uncompromising jazzman in Lithuania, entering the areas of total ree, uncontrollable noise and bizarre sounds, provoking both nconditional admiration and relentless opposition. Completely overtaken by the guitar, Juozas Milašius has tested the limits of this instrument playing solo and experimenting in various projects with improvisers, electronic and experimental sound artists.

DAVE BURRELL + WOLTER WIERBOS
Dave Burrell: Distinguished composer-pianist Dave Burrell is an African-American performing artist of singular stature on the international contemporary music scene. His dynamic compositions with blues and gospel roots recall the tradition of Jelly Roll Morton, James P. Johnson and Duke Ellington, as well avant garde composers Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane.
Wolter Wierbos is considered one of the world’s leading trombone players. He has played throughout Europe, Canada, USA and Asia. Wierbos has many awards to his name, including the Podiumprijs for Jazz and Improvised music and the most important Dutch jazz award, the VPRO Boy Edgar Prize.
Like many Dutch brass players Wierbos started out in a ‘fanfare’ (brass band), switching from trumpet to trombone when he was 17.

BUFFY SAINTE-MARIE
Buffy Sainte-Marie, byname of Beverly Sainte-Marie   (born February 20, 1941/42, Piapot Reserve, Saskatchewan, Canada), Canadian-born American singer, songwriter, guitarist, political activist, and visual artist known especially for her use of music to promote awareness of issues affecting Native Americans.
It’s tempting to mythologize Buffy Sainte-Marie — to call her a folk-music mother of dragons, or at least a shaman calling up lost spirits in her music. It’s easy, after all, to exoticize individualistic women, especially women of color; doing so can even feel like offering a compliment.

Thanks for reading.

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible.

All the best.

Alain
