For over ten years, circle bros is looking for a balance between drones, semi-improvised songs and lofi ambient psychedelica., vaguely exploring the same field as the likes of Flying Saucer Attack, Grouper or Roy Montgomery. This has resulted in releases on labels as Trome Records, Bluesanct, and Lecluyse’s own label Morc Records, including splits and/or collaborations with the likes of Karina ESP, Annelies Monseré or Drekka. Live, Circle bros shared stage with acts as diverse as Ducktails, Castanets and Wouter van Veldhoven, performed on the Incubate festival and recorded a radio session for VPRO Dwars. The past few years, the recordings have focused more on the drone-oriented melodic songs, which culminates on the newest album ‘Rust’, which will appear on three:four records early 2016. The album continues the line of the previous, well-received lp Haven (on morc), but has a clearer sound, and is more organ- and vocals centered than the other output. LOUP BARROW Both, a composer capable of writing for an ensemble, and a multi-instrumentalist having played various uncommon instruments (Cristal Baschet, Glass Harp, Hammered Dulcimmer, chromatic M Bira, Hang…), Loup Barrow writes music able to drift from an orchestral feeling to a minimalist hum. Loup Barrow spent his early childhood in London surrounded by a musical family circle. Later, in France, his fascination for drumming began under the wing and the influence of Marcus Camus from whom he learned for several years, before continuing to study under several other outstanding teachers. SHXCXCHCXSH The once industrial city of Norrköping in eastern Sweden may not be the techno mecca of the world, but two members of Shxcxchcxsh find their hometown a perfect place to focus on music since the inception of the project. Found each other in Stockholm years back, the two started sharing love for the darker and more experimental realms of techno and soon followed the natural progression of working on music together. Combinedly they have a broad range of musical backgrounds and tastes from hip hop to rock-pop therefore bring diverse knowledge and experience to shape their unique sounds and ideas into deadly serious techno born out of the elements of noise, drone, glitch, broken beats, and pounding industrial and much more. After releasing on Semantica and Subsist, Shxcxchcxsh found a home in a thought-after contemporary techno label Avian run by Shifted and Ventress. Following the series of EPs that captured the curiosity and attention of techno world, came in June 2013 was “STRGTHS”, their debut album that successfully etched their unpronounceable name onto the audiences’ minds. In 2014 the duo unveiled their second full-length album « Linear S Decoded » in September, launching their next step into the career to further expand the breadth and depth of Shxcxchcxsh’s world with incredible complexity and sensibility without compromising the powerful mind-blowing techno that truly stands out from the crowd. UVB 76 (France) UVB 76 are Gaëtan Bizien and Tioma Tchoulanov, Paris-based video and sound artists. Their first EP ‘Enter 513’ (released on Midi Deux) is made with four tracks of an abrasive and warlike techno that give an overview of their musical influences. From raw industrial mecanisms to more abstract and cinematic experimentations, UVB 76 tries to give a sense of storytelling in their productions. The duo already shown his audiovisual live act in many venues and events, including Centre Georges Pompidou, Maintenant Festival, 75021, Machine du Moulin Rouge, Transient Festival, ISEA2015… Crossing bridges between new media and club music through visuals live manipulations — Alain Bolle / Some Noise 84, Rue des Pâquerettes 1030 Brussels Belgium
