Jarboe (/ˈdʒɑrboʊ/; also known as Jane Jarboe, and the Living Jarboe; born Jarboe La Salle Devereaux) is an American singer-songwriter and keyboardist who came to prominence as a member of the New York City-based band Swans in 1985. Having played the organ since childhood and had years of professional vocal training, she, with founder Michael Gira, were the two constant members of Swans until the group broke up in 1998.
Although she was absent from the group’s lineup when the band reformed in 2010, she contributed background vocals and voice collage for the band’s 2012 album, The Seer.[4] She has released numerous solo albums and collaborations, many of which have been self-published. She also co-composed the soundtrack of a horror game titled The Path.

Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt.
A downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper.
Father Murphy over the years became one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds and Julian Cope started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia

Rishin Singh (born 1985, Kuala Lumpur) uses the trombone, text, scores, video and performance to make music that is simultaneously plain and sensual. Some collaborators include Jim Denley, Goh Lee Kwang , Ensemble Offspring , Jason Kahn, Konzert Minimal, Mike Majkowski, Johnny Chang, Catherine Lamb, Bryan Eubanks, Lucio Capece, and Héctor Rey.
He has performed throughout Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Canada.
He is a former co-director of the NOW now Series and Festival of the Arts, Sydney.
He lives in Berlin.

The infamous blistering noise of Wolf Eyes propelled them from being a dank Ann Arbour, Michigan basement sensation to the finest ranks of Sub Pop without ever losing a shred of credibility. From touring with Sonic Youth and Andrew W.K., Wolf Eyes have crossed borders into popularity which few other such confrontational units of their ilk have been able to and kept straight and narrow on their blazing path. Originally started as the solo project of former Nautical Almanac member Nate Young, he was soon joined by Aaron Dilloway in 1998, John Olson in 2000 then Mike Connenlly and now Crazy Jim. They has released over 150 recordings in their relatively short lifespan.

KETEV is a project by the sound artist and composer Yair Elazar Glotman, in which he explores different methods of sound processing. His compositions layer abstract textures, shifting rhythmic patterns, and dogmatic forms, and his practice easily changes contexts between experimental music and sound art, club music and concert experience, and moves between the digital and analog possibilities of repetition and variation. Personal archive recordings and tape loops which shift in and out of beat form the basis for his mantra-like patterns, which float above a deep sound scenery.

In his 32-year relationship with ECM Records, Argentinean bandoneonist Dino Saluzzi has explored many paths—paths upon which he has rarelytraveled more than once, even if there were certain road marks common to them all. A pair of trio recordings with his son, guitarist José Maria Saluzzi, employed two different bassists—Marc Johnson on 1997’s Cité de la Musique and Palle Danielsson on 2003’s Responsorium—their graceful elegance possessing a similar but different intimacy when compared to the bandoneonist’s ongoing duo withcellist Anja Lechner, which first began with Ojos Negros (2007) but then expanded to a trio with the addition of his brother, saxophonist/clarinetist Félix « Cuchara » Saluzzi, together alone on 2011’s Navidad de los Andes, following the trio’s first encounteron El Encuentro (2010), a more sweepingly ambitious orchestral project.

Psychic TV was first born in 1982 at 50 Beck Road, Hackney following the termination of Throbbing Gristle the year before. Six months later the duo completed the nucleus of the new unit with ex-TG’er Peter Christopherson. By that time Genesis had already conceived, named and pioneered the genre “lndustrial Music” with Throbbing Gristle. Along with groups like The Velvet Underground, Throbbing Gristle is and remains one of the most influential rock groups of the last 30 years; if you haven’t heard their music, you will certainly have listened to someone who has. In Throbbing Gristle, Genesis and company synthesized the influences and philosophies of Gen’s close friends and collaborators, including Beat writer William S. Burroughs; Beat poet and painter Brion Gysin; psychedelic shaman Dr Timothy Leary; queer activist film maker Derek Jarman; and those of legendary occultist Austin Osman Spare, theorist John Cage and various seminal underground authors, thinkers, artists and film makers. The group “TG” produced some of the most unsettling and thoughtprovoking music of all time. Their pioneering “Industrial” sound and self-sufficient approach to record distribution has had a profound impact, becoming key elements of underground music production and distribution ever since.

Yves Botz / Michel Henritzi / Thierry Delles or Hélène Stiefel : guitars
“So you want to be a musician? Just take a fucking guitar… and then, what else?
Well, let’s say just a few more things: of past let’s make a tabula rasa, let’s sack History, let’s destroy idols, let’s knock down rock catechism… Let’s clean up the whole thing and make the genuine rock’n’roll expresses its savagery, the one that had been repressed since Jerry Lee Lewis…
Let’s take back things just where the Stooges left them with “L.A. Blues”, when they throwed their eyes towards free jazz and white noise...”

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible.

YOU FREUD, ME JANE is a french power trio formed in Nancy, in 2011 after Jesus Lizard.
The band's sound is mainly tainted with thousands of influences as much unsung as obvious (Shellac, Uzeda, Betty Davis, Barra Head, P J Harvey, Shannon Wright, to name a few) and weighted by a tension beyond musical stress (Hitchcock or sexual tension are around as well)
Following their past bands (Aghostino, For My Hybrid and Beeswax in particular), YFMJ still worships sweatiness of warned clubs, road trips in flawed air-conditionned Jumpy, scalpel-chiseled riffs and neck-breaking rhythms.
An explicite 12-inch named « Five sex Events » was released in 2012, on french DIY label Les disques du hangar 221. Its successor will be out in spring 2016.

Beauty Will Save the World, the first Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus [RAIJ] full-length album in over two decades, not only identifies key players for the first time — Paul Boyce, Jon Egan and Leslie Hampson — but also invites new, younger collaborators to the Army. There are moments on the record that sound like if Godspeed You! Black Emperor had scored The Last Temptation of Christ, but mostly, it actively seeks and creates beauty in order to heal.

Richard Youngs is a British musician with a prolific and diverse output, including many collaborations. Based in Glasgow since the early 1990s, his extensive back catalogue of solo and collaborative work formally begins with Advent, first issued in 1990. He plays many instruments, most commonly choosing the guitar, but he has been known to use a wide variety of other instruments including the shakuhachi, accordion, theremin, dulcimer, a home-made synthesizer (common on early recordings) and even a motorway bridge. He also released an album which was entirely a cappella.

With a career spanning 16 years and a backlog of releases, Leon has been busy to say the least.
Stemming from a musical background, leon specialised in lead guitar as his first instrument and spent most of his teenage years in various bands performing anything from Heavy metal to 60's-70's Rock'n'Roll.
He first started programming music in 1992 and then bought his first studio setup in 1998, soon to follow was his debut release in 2001 on Unkut Recordings.
2002 saw the birth of Defcom Records along with the partnership of Kryptic Minds, and a massive passion for deep dark Drum and Bass.
With releases on imprints such as MetalHeadz, Frequency, Freak, Monitor and Penetration to name just a few, he had recorded and remixed for some of the scenes true pioneers.

SCARCITY OF TANKS is Matt Wascovich's long-running band from Cleveland, OH. The lineup for this engagement will be Wascovich on vocals; Norman Westberg (Swans) and John Petkovic (Death of Samantha) on guitars; James McNew (Yo La Tengo) on bass; and Kid Millions (Oneida) on drums.

Brian Pyle a.k.a. Ensemble Economique completely has our attention with his 11th studio album (4th for Denovali) of typically unpredictable and deeply satisfying synth/post-wave music.
It's rare that an artist can keep us rapt for eight minutes with little more than a single, modulated synthline but in EE's hands such things are possible, and even likely. 'From the Train Window, Red Flowers on the Mountain' does just that with deeply haunting, pensile effect, giving way to the harmonic bloom and funereal drums of 'Blossoms in Red' featuring Soft Metals, and subsequently space for a strung-out Scott Walker nod with 'On The Sand' starring Peter Broderick, and the crawling, weeping 'You, by Candlelight' with J. Moon. 'Nothing Is Perfect' finds Pyle solo to close with a slow moving cascade of keys washed against acoumsatic field recordings in melancholic, theatrical fashion.

King Ayisoba is a young musician from Kalaga, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He learnt how to play the kologo (a traditional two stringed guitar) from his grandfather, a traditional healer. He starting playing music at pito bars and festivals and soon became a child prodigy, known throughout the region. His musical career and fame grew from strength to strength. Having conquered the waters in his home region, King Ayisoba felt that he had accomplished everything he could at home, and he headed for Accra. By an act of fate, he met and struck a partnership with the late Terry Bon Chaka. The pair soon became the toast of every performance across the country as they stunned audiences with their unique blend of flawless traditional instrumentations and rhythms.

The first demo by Zëro - the reincarnation of Bästard!, a group which had its origins in the Deity Guns (initiators
of the French post-rock movement ) - is already 10 years old and “San Francisco” is their 5th album.
Zëro now play as a trio and the group has gained in coherency.
One after the other, the tracks flow fluidly together as a whole despite the complexity of the arrangements and the multiple
cinematographic or musical references, with both sides of the record containing a mix of contained violence and tense atmospheres.

Thanks for reading.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Ampism is Paul from Bolide’s solo project, tapes and small synth and effects, its very clean, surprisingly given the source materials, with a nicely constructed sound collage feel. With some proper bass.

Unlike a lot of DJs who are invited to mix a Fabriclive CD, Mumdance was faced with a more multi-faceted balancing act. Firstly, like anyone else, he has to put together a mix of his favourite tunes, building them up and down the way any self-respecting DJ would. Then, of course, he has to give props to his label mates, friends, and his Different Circles imprint (of course). Again, pretty typical. But then he's also faced with a slightly more Mumdance-specific quandry: balancing his esoteric drone-inspired tracks with his club-friendly grime and techno cuts.

Mark Van Hoen (born September 1966, Croydon, London, England) is an English electronic music artist. He has created music under his own name as well as Locust, and Autocreation. The BBC said, "in a brief listen one can hear the influence on Boards of Canada's damaged melodies and dense claustrophobia, more so even than usual suspects like the Aphex Twin."[1] Pitchfork said, "Musically, Van Hoen belongs to a distinguished family tree. Originally influenced by the likes of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream, and later presaging both Autechre's glitch and Boards of Canada's pastoral IDM, with his latest album Van Hoen would fit in just as well alongside White Rainbow or Atlas Sound on a current label like Kranky: He combines oceanic drone with pop lyricism, using technology as a catalyst."[2]

According to the film The Rise and Fall and Rise of Sensational he got into music at a young age, including reggae and calypso. He was later led to hip-hop and was known to rap over Stockhausen records. According to the film, Sensational is the nephew of Edgar Rose, who played on a popular calypso song called "Labour Day." In the mid-90s he made his debut working with the Jungle Brothers under the name Torture, and appeared on the single "Troopin' On The Downlow."[1] He was later heavily featured on the unreleased Jungle Brothers album Crazy Wisdom Masters in 1993 (produced by Bill Laswell) but this was shelved by Warner Bros, due to having been too "experimental." After taking time out from music-related activity, in 1997 he signed to Spectre's label Wordsound, changed his name to Sensational and released his debut album Loaded With Power.
His style is considered unique and different. On his debut he was forced to use his headphone cans as a makeshift microphone, and used sounds from old analogue equipment and found sounds which were recorded and then looped.[2] His style is often about weed intake or sci-fi based themes. He is known more for his often eclectic collaboration work, having played with the likes of Cardopusher, Kid 606, Handsome Boy Modeling School, DJ Scotch Bonnet, Kouhei Matsunaga, and Spectre. Often quite prolific but known for brief spells of homelessness, it not known how much of Sensational's discography there actually is, as he can often be found selling his music on the streets of New York.

Their work deals with programmatic, thematically linked concepts. For their first CD, 'The Black And White Album', they used samples from songs with the word 'music'; this CD was released by Symbolic Interaction, who two years later withdrew the release. Later on Zèbra recorded a CD with samples of the work of Joy Division producer Martin Hannett ('Live In Leugen') and a cassette for Dutch label Limbabwe, entirely based on samples from tapes released previously on that label. In 2012, at the Ultra 2012 event, they played a set with samples from former Factory Records act Minny Pops, with the original singer Wally van Middendorp on two songs.

PHILIPPE PETIT loves to play live and onstage uses an amplified wood-tablet, various glass/knives/inflatable balloons, screams in his Kazoo-horn processing in his laptom... Topping it all he plays prepaired vinyls. Assaulting turntables to take advantage of the vinyl material to fondle released sounds, raking the needle across the record's grooves, rubbing their stylus on paper, cardboard, metal to process unusual noises and textures. Dancing... Enjoying to perform and entertain the audience.

Venetian Snares pursues the breakcore dragon into new spaces following the monstrous 'My Love Is A Bulldozer' (2014). Serving more than your recommended yearly allowance of mentallism, 'Your Face' flings us from black midi symphonies in 'Your Face When I Finally' to a gorgeous, beat-less and hyaline reflection in 'Your Face When I Finally (Glass Version)', spinning us thru the LP5-style knots of 'Former Eagle' to hyper hardcore party styles in 'Red Orange 2', and the flipping freakish breakbeat techno of 'Become Magic Dolphins', with a brilliant twist of forward electro pulses and harmonic convolutions recalling Gábor Lázár in 'Misericordia.

Nicholas Currie (born 11 February 1960), more popularly known under the artist name Momus (after the Greek god of mockery), is a Scottish songwriter, author, blogger and former journalist for Wired.
For nearly thirty years he has been releasing, to marginal commercial and critical success, albums on labels in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan. In his lyrics and his other writing he makes seemingly random use of decontextualized pieces of continental (mostly French) philosophy, and has built up a personal world he says is "dominated by values like diversity, orientalism, and a respect for otherness." He is fascinated by identity, Japan, Rome, the avant-garde, time travel and sex.

We are Hex Triplets.
This is our apocalyptic project, our "termite" project - we are burrowing into deeper sediments of sound. No more barriers, no bullshit. Mark Morgan says that for him, HT sounds like the dying gasps of a great whale. We'll be completing the album in April and we don't really want to leak anything that we've worked on just yet, but if Europe will trust us, I guarantee she will not be disappointed.
First, there's Balazs Pandi (HU). He plays with Merzbow, Mats Gustafsson, Thurston Moore, Trevor Dunn, Slobber Pup, Venetian Snares, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Zu and, since 2007, To Live and Shave in L.A. The drummer's drummer. Incredible subtlety and propulsive energy. Plus, the super-nicest dude in all of music.
Next, Tim Dahl (US). He performs with Ava Mendoza in Unnatural Ways, and is the leader of Child Abuse. He's also worked with Elliot Sharp, Marc Ribbot, John Zorn, Eugene Chadbourne and many others. He's a member of Lydia Lunch Retrovirus and Teenage Jesus and the Jerks (the 2015 edition). Best bassist in America? Certainly the most ferocious. Great singer too - a black metal-derived grunt that doesn't sound forced or ironic.
Mark Morgan (US) fronted Sightings from 1999-2014. He also plays with Pat Murano (No Neck Blues Band) in Key of Shame, and with former Sightings bassist Richard Hoffman in the group Silk Purse. He's been on several To Live and Shave in L.A. tours and appears on ten of their of our albums. He was named #99 in Spin Magazine's "99 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" feature a few years ago but we all know he should have been much closer to the top of the list. Excellent vocal style - he and Tom have done duo sets and projects previously, once as Maude and again as TSMM.
Lastly, Tom Smith (DE). He's been active in music and production since the mid-1970s. Known primarily as the founder of avant-garde collective To Live and Shave in L.A. who blasted through America and Europe in 2015 with tours and new releases, Tom performed in his first band at the age of 14, and created musique concrete and dub production experiments from 1975-1978. (Some of these recordings will be released on Hanson in 2016.) Since then, he's been in many projects - Boat Of, Peach of Immortality, Velvet Monkeys, Pussy Galore, Ohne, Three Resurrected Drunkards, Sightings/Tom Smith, Merkwürdig Riechen, and, since 2009, a solo career under both his own name and T/SMS. His Karl Schmidt Verlag imprint has issued eleven books and nearly 400 albums since 2008.

Thanks for reading.

I hope to hear from you asap.

All the best.
