BJ Nilsen
BJ Nilsen is a composer and sound artist based in Amsterdam. His work primarily focuses on the sounds of nature and how they affect humans. Recent work has explored the urban acoustic realm and industrial geography in the Arctic region of Norway and Russia. His original scores and soundtracks have featured in theatre, dance performances, and film.

Whether in duo with saxophonist Johs Lund, in solo or with the band Selvhenter, Maria Bertel has been pushing the trombone in its physical limits while uncovering new territories for the instrument. Playing her horn through a stack of amps and developing distinctive extended techniques, she delivers ecstatic walls of textures redefining the trombone for the 21st century.

Dislocated Folklore is one of Dubs’ dustiest and diffuse transmission; like John T. Gast and Muslimgauze smoked-up and exhaled by Mad Professor in effect, but perfused with an intangible soul of it’s own imagination that’s key to its allure. Dimitris Papadatos (b.1981,USA) is a composer, musician and sound artist based in Athens Greece.
All his songs follow the same naming fashion as “Neckless Dub,” although his approach to stripped down dripped sounds varies immensely.
The main concern in his work is an apposition of disparate elements that assume a re-appropriation of historically applied methodologies while questioning forms of empowering them. The biggest body of his work reflects issues as copyright, spirituality and originality, undergoing a constant state of transfiguration of its outsourcing.

Electroacoustic music composer and performer, alternative electronic music instrument maker, tutor and sound technologist.
During a decade of sound performances and recordings, Tasos Stamou has developed a unique style of live electroacoustic composition.
Long and continuous pieces are created using a « portable electroacoustic music studio ». His gear consists of acoustic (prepared zither, reeds, recorders, objects) and electronic instruments (handmade electronics, modular synthesizer systems and live processed feedback loops). Based on sustained tonal textures and free improvised instrumental solos, his live compositions create a particular and unique atmosphere of ritual noise.
Although mainly a solo performer and recording artist, he frequently collaborates with other sound artists, improvisers and experimentalists (such as Adam Bohman, Alan Wilkinson, London Improvisers Orchestra, Mike Cooper, Andrea Parkins, Kuupuu & Lau Nau, Terry Day, Adachi Tomomi, Ilan Manouach, Ignaz Schick, Magda Mayas, Arma Agharta, Thodoris Ziarkas, etc.) at various venues and festivals for innovative music across Europe and U.S.A.
He is currently leading a workshop series exploring hardware hacking for experimental sound production.

HOUSEWIVES are a London based experimental four piece creating music which lies on the boundary between noise and sound. Their austere, rhythmically charged music has a distinctively cold, minimalist edge; abrasive guitars blend with droning bass lines and propulsive, relentless drums. Their live approach is anti-performance, using a stark and minimal aesthetic coupled with intense and powerful compositions. Often using home made instruments, they explore unique sonic textures creating a challenging progressive sound.

« Mescarìa » is the fusion of the term « mesca », which means « mix », and the word « aria », which identifies a vocal style characterized by the performance of a chant, present in the music of the south of Italy and defined as « air song » (canto ad aria). Mescaria is the new project of three members of the Baro Drom Orkestar with Arianna Romanella, young singer from Luca, crossing the soul of the south, passing from the countryside to the pizzica of Puglia, and making stops in Basilicata. A long musical journey from the roots of the south of Europe, touching the rites of Nigerian women, gypsy sounds, Romani songs, urban tarantella.

In recent years Syrian wedding singer Omar Souleyman has captured the imagination of the west via his high-energy electronic dabke music released initially on Sublime Frequencies and more recently on Monkeytown and Ribbon Music. His music, whilst possessing strong links to the traditional folkloric music of Jazeera, his geographical region, near Syria’s border with Iraq and Turkey populated by Arabs and Kurds, has proven especially popular in the west

Lea Bertucci is an American composer and performer whose work describes relationships between acoustic phenomena and biological resonance. In addition to her instrumental practice, (alto saxophone and bass clarinet), her work often incorporates multichannel speaker arrays, electroacoustic feedback, .extended instrumenta.

Massimo and Thighpaulsandra met in 2016.
Massimo being a longtime fan of Coil, and Thighpaulsandra a longtime fan of ZU, it was clear there was a common ground to go and create new music together.
After one year of meetings their first album comes out on the great Belgian label Consouling Sounds in September 2017.
Echoes of Coil music and Zu music appear here and there but the duo maps an uncharted territory. This is organic electronic music. The live show will have also VISUALS

Tbanks for your time and reading.

I look forward to hearing from you asap.

Terre Thaemlitz (1968) is an award-winning multimedia producer, writer, public speaker, educator, audio remixer, DJ, and owner of the Comatonse Recordings record label. Her work combines a critical look at identity politics—including gender, sexuality, class, linguistics, ethnicity, and race—with an ongoing analysis of the socio-economics of commercial media production. She has released over fifteen solo albums, as well as numerous tweleve-inch singles and video works. Her writings on music and culture have been published internationally in a number of books, academic journals, and magazines. As a speaker and educator on issues of non-essentialist transgenderism and queerness, Thaemlitz has lectured and participated in panel discussions throughout Europe and Japan. As of January, 2001, she has resided in Kawasaki, Japan.

Hailing from the barrier dunes of Virginia, this quartet blends heavy riffs, a rolling groove, and soulful guitar melodies to produce the sound that is Freedom Hawk. Their brand of heavy rock coupled with a high energy live show, leaves many wondering if they’ve stepped through a time warp that has taken them to rock’s heyday of the 70’s. his band will make you turn it up real loud driving in your car head bobbing the whole time on the edge of your seat until you reach your final destination. Freedom Hawk’s music slashes away, tearing its way into the ears of all those who listen with original quality matched only to those which have proven themselves in days past. The driving beat and heavy guitars with timeless vocals gives light to a new birth in heavy music.

Bison formed in 2006. Drunk, stumbling on the heals of a skate thrash band S.T.R.E.E.T.S., (skateboarding totally rules, everything else totally sucks). In 2007 the Earthbound ep gets recorded. People dig it.
Then in 2008 Metal Blade records signs us, changing our name to Bison BC. We did 3 albums for them – Quiet Earth (2008), Dark Ages (2010) and Lovelessness (2012). We then parted ways with Metal Blade directly after the release of Lovelessness. Amicably enough. During that time we toured extensively through North America and Europe most notably with Baroness, Goatwhore, Tombs, High on Fire, Kylesa, Coliseum, Weedeater, The Ocean, Burst and Black Cobra among others.

UUUU is a new outfit featuring Edvard Graham Lewis, Thighpaulsandra, Matthew Simms and Valentina Magaletti.
Individually these humans have implanted feathers in caps such as Coil, Dome, Wire, Tomaga, etc. Collectively they form UUUU, a powerhouse construction of fierce and free sonic exploration, as liberating as it is frightening, resulting in, the richly rewarding. The artists united present a project of exquisite curiosity and confident chaos where the individual thumbprints mesh into a gloriously muscular frenetic free sonic soup. It’s Going All Over The Floor presents itself as a terse meeting between dance, ambient, abstraction and improvisation. The Latent Black Path Of Summons Served proceeds in a tense energy field where random elements bounce around until locking into a fourth world pattern designed to fall into a dense mass of ecstatic noise. Boots with Wings is classic Lewis – a pop tune from the other side of the mind.
UUUU is a schizophrenic seething/soothing masterpiece of a past/present hybrid equally at home in the club, the home and the mind.

Jim Denley is Australia’s foremost improviser with a career spanning over three decades. An emphasis on spontaneity, site-specific work and collaboration has been central to his work. He sees no clear distinctions between his roles as instrumentalist, improviser and composer. He was recently awarded a Fellowship by the Australia Council for 2006 + 07 and is currently working towards a paradigm shift in the notion and perception of the saxophone; to establish it’s relevance to ancient and current traditions in Australian music, and to extend it’s range with the addition of innovative electronics and miking.
Kim Myhr is a prominent voice of the creative music scene in Norway, both as a composer and as a guitarist, with frequent performances throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and North- as well as South-America. Myhr’s first solo record will be released january 2014. His solo music explores the acoustic possibilities of the 12-string guitar, and can remind the listener of early music of Ligeti and of Morton Feldman, but it also contains an energy and simplicity similar to american folk music. As a composer, Myhr wrote « stems and cages » for the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra in 2009, a large ensemble including Sidsel Endresen, Christian Wallumrød, Jim Denley among others. The music was released on the CD « stems and cages » in 2010, and recieved wide critical acclaim. Kim wrote another piece for the orchestra for the 2012 Ultima festival called « In the end his voice will be the sound of paper », this time featuring the voice of Jenny Hval. More activity is expected for this project in 2014. Myhr works frequently with dance, notably writing music for productions by italian choreographer Francesco Scavetta, and in 2014 a new collaboration with dancer Orfee Schuijt.
Ingar Zach is one of the leading percussionists/improvisers from Norway. He is known for the wide range of sounds in his drum kit and he uses his percussion in a very dynamic but still energetic way. Now living in Madrid, he concentrates on his solo work and his regular ensembles. He has been dedicated to experimental music and folk music for the last five years and he is now touring and recording with his regular ensembles but in Europe, Canada, USA, South America and Asia.He founded the Norwegian label for improvised music, SOFA, together with guitar player, Ivar Grydeland in May 2000 and the SILLÓN label in 2005.

All the best
