Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 28, 2012 by debloque

Dear all,

I’m booking some dates for TIDAL and FORMER SELVES.

They are available on 14th, 16th and 17th November.

TIDAL:
Tidal (ambient/drone – London, UK) Jimmy Billingham’s Tidal project has
been making waves within the tape-underground synth scene for the past
couple of years, recently making his vinyl debut with a split LP on
Aguirre Records. Tidal blends thick, wistful synth tones with obscured
samples to create blissful, undulating drone-scapes. Also recording as
Venn Rain among other projects, Jimmy has released on labels such as
Digitalis Ltd., Hooker Vision and Chemical Tapes, with forthcoming
releases on Under the Spire Ltd. and Further Records, as well as the
recent launch of his own label, Sunk Series, co-run with artist Jennifer
Crouch. Jimmy will be supporting David Daniell at Café OTO on 18th Sept,
and then play alongside Time Attendant and Sone Institute at the Outer
Church in Brighton the following week. Jimmy also makes videos to
accompany his releases and performances. Email: viroidlife@gmail.com

and DVDs) by various independent labels, such as Bridgetown Records,
Hooker Vision,
and Rotifer Cassettes. Past performances include shows with Baby Birds

BOOKING OFFER: THE DRIP DRY MAN AND HIS ONE MAN BEAT REVOLVER.

Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 24, 2012 by debloque
Dear all,

I'm booking one date only for THE DRIP DRY MAN AND HIS ONE MAN BEAT REVOLVER.
He is available on 22nd November 2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgokP6qqLaA

Drip Dry Man The 24 year old bluesman sounds more like he is from the
swamplands of the American Deep South rather than Aberystwyth, Wales. His
signature sound of rasping fuzz , whore-house angles and darkness-infused
chain gang sound, paint Howlin Wolf and Tom Waits at their growling
bluesy-best. This is music that is gorgeously corrupt, visual impact shock
rock that leaves the audience rendered catatonic in wonder. It is easy to
say that he provides a refreshing theatre of freakish presentation fusing
and perverting old musical templates such as delta blues, gospel and
country with something a little more contemporary Already causing a scene
on the underground circuit aswell as making fans of the likes of BBC Radio
1's Bethan Elfyn and BBC Wales's Adam Walton, who both played a succession
of demos throughout 2008 (BBC Magical Mystery tour), DDM is making fans
thick and fast both home and abroad. Watch him blow "the roof off the
place with his unique sound of full-on-dirty-nasty-swamp-blues-glam-rock."
(The Absurd Alternative Magazine).

I hope to hear from you asap.

Regards.

BOOKING OFFER: ALEXEI BORISOV

Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 21, 2012 by debloque
Dear all,

I'm booking a couple of dates for ALEXEI BORISOV (solo)
He's available on 19th and 20th November.

http://www.myspace.com/music/player?sid=14935579&ac=now

Making music on the fringe since the underground movement ignited in
Russia in the beginning 1980s, Alexei Borisov has developed an
impressively diverse body of work as a member of NIGHT PROSPEKT,
F.R.U.I.T.S. and VOLGA, among many other projects.

Born in Moscow on December 7, 1960, Alexei Borisov graduated the Moscow
State University where he had studied History and Arts. His controversial
performing career (as a guitarist) began in the CENTER new-wave group, in
1980. Next year, he formed the PROSPEKT mod-band. And re-loaded it in 1985
as the shifting NIGHT PROSPEKT with then-partner Ivan Sokolovsky. After
the actual dissolution of the band in the beginning 1990s, he surfaced
then in the "noise reconstruction and techno acoustics" duo F.R.U.I.T.S.
with Pavel Zhagun (also known as PIEZO) and in various short-lived
art/noise/industrial acts like JOINT COMMITTEE, ATOMIC BISQUIT ORCHESTRA
and SEVER.

Being left with little possibility of finding a label to fund and promote
his most radical projects, Alexei Borisov with his old-associate, an
experimental Finnish sound-sculptor Anton Nikkila established in 2000
their own N&B Research Digest label.

Among other Borisovs' collaborations are the joint projects with the
performance-group "North" (Russia), KK Null (Japan), Jeffrey Surak (USA),
Leif Ellgren (Sweden). Borisov also collaborates with the video-artist
Roman Anikushin, multimedia-artists Aristarh Chernishev and Vladislav
Efimov and also with Olga Subbotina, Moscow theatre director. Lately
Borisov prefers solo music career. He also works as a DJ in clubs and on
radio and contributed as a journalist to some Russian ("Bulldozer",
"Ptjuch", "Fuzz", "Downtown", "man'Music", etc.) and foreign ("B'Mag",
"Technikart") magazines and newspapers.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Have a nice week-end.

BOOKING OFFER: WHITE COWBELL

Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 19, 2012 by debloque
Hi,

I'm booking two shows for WHITE COWBELL.

They are available on 2nd and 3rd December 2012.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-IhWN3iB-M

Behold, the tireless heavy-rock armada that is White Cowbell Oklahoma now
bring their live assault directly to you via VIVA LIVE LOCOS: ALIVE AT THE
BURG HERZBERG FESTIVAL!

WCO's studio albums - Cencerro Blanco (2005), Casa Diablo (2007) and the
especially adventurous Bombardero (2009) - have all been
critically-acclaimed affairs worldwide. Many, however, argue it is the
band's incredibly over-the-top live show that defines White Cowbell
Oklahoma. Fire, chainsaws and dancing maidens aside, others add that WCO
have grown into an extremely dynamic, virtuosic musical outfit. Thus, the
band’s 70s-infused live show - which owes as much visually to KISS, The
Tubes and Alice Cooper as it does musically to ZZ Top, Deep Purple and The
Allman Brothers - has become a jaw-dropping spectacle to behold.

The roots of White Cowbell Oklahoma's precarious balancing act lie in
their initial tours of Europe. In July 2006, the band headlined the first
night of the annual Burg Herzberg Festival -- one of Europe's biggest and
most prestigious jam fests. The performance was expertly recorded and
later broadcast on German national TV to much fanfare. WCO's set featured
many lesser-played songs from their canon, with many cuts stretched close
to the 10-minute mark. Burg Herzberg was not only a unique show, it marked
a turning point for the band forever.

In September 2010, White Cowbell Oklahoma acquired the Burg Herzberg
tracks for remix. The result is the explosive Viva Live Locos: Alive At
The Burg Herzberg Festival. Finally, the live White Cowbell Oklahoma
experience can be taken home (at least, to the degree any sane person
would desire).

And this album truly is live -- no extra overdubbing was added. From heavy
steamrollers "Cheerleader" and "Faster Than Sin" to southern-boogie
jamfests "Shot A Gamblin' Man," “Ole Glory” and "Do Me So Wrong," you get
the nine-man, four-guitar warfare as it went down. Two previously
unrecorded covers - Frank Zappa's "Magic Fingers" and Willie Dixon's "I
Just Want To Make Love To You" also figure into the set. Look for
additional bonus tracks on vinyl and iTunes soon. VIVA LIVE LOCOS!

I hope to hear from you soon.

BOOKING OFFER: DISTRICT

Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 17, 2012 by debloque

Dear all,

I’m booking some dates for DISTRICT.
He is available in mid December and in late January 2013.

http://soundcloud.com/district

District has been something of a revelation in the last 18 months, a
whirlwind period that has seen him develop into one of the most in demand
producers within the deep Dubstep community. Having spent a couple of
years carefully refining his production techniques, Dan got in touch with
DJ Distance and along with his fellow Coventry producer and collaborator
Sleeper, they quickly saw their thunderous sub-heavy rollers regularly
included in Chestplate label head’s live and radio sets.

Harnessing the relentless club-shaking low frequencies, twisted reece
bassline architecture and explosive energy of his signature sound,
District has seen his profile grow at a staggering rate with guest
appearances on the world famous Rinse.FM, GetDarker and MistaJam’s 1xtra
broadcast, and his tracks finding their way into every major DJ’s record
bag from the irrepressible DJ Youngsta, to scene legends Skream and Benga
on their Radio 1 show.

His debut 12” in 2011 featured two premium examples of District’s talent
on the buttons, Haymaker and 3.5 grams, and was released by Distance on
his mighty Chestplate Records imprint, to be followed up in early 2012
with the widely acclaimed bass savagery of the Terraformed EP with
Sleeper. Both records are vital additions to a seminal back catalogue
bristling with classics, and have fuelled excitement for future
instalments of Dan’s dark creative vision.

Evolution and progression are the hallmarks of any leading producer, and
something District takes seriously as he continues to contort his menacing
nuerofunk influenced track aesthetics over varying styles and rhythmical
structures. His bookings have increased exponentially, with a busy DJ
schedule delivering sets packed with exclusives at events and festivals
all over Europe, and it looks to be another dominant year for District and
the Chestplate collective.

I would like to hear from you asap.

Regards.

Alain

BOOKING OFFER: MESSER CHUPS

Posted in Uncategorized on septembre 13, 2012 by debloque
Dear all,

I have one open date for the Russian band MESSER CHUPS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC2sR6dSeTc

They are available on 4th November.

Messer Chups is the low-brow musical concoction of Russian-born artist and
musician Oleg Gitarkin, employing audio collage methods to create thick
layers of sampling from trash horror films, cartoons, and other diverse
sources. Surf rock drums, big-band influences, and cinema clips show the
presence of Gitarkin's western influences, but the band also incorporates
antique synthesizers and animations samples identifiable with his Soviet
childhood. Adhering stylistically to a number of genres including
rockabilly, horror punk, lounge, and surf rock, Messer Chups was founded
in 1998 after the breakup of German-Russian psychobilly ensemble Messer
für Frau Müller.
When Messer für Frau Müller splintered, guitarist, bassist, and
keyboardist Oleg Gitarkin stood firm, recruiting Oleg Kostrow of Phantom
for a new-and-improved Messer für Frau Müller. But like most long-distance
relationships (Gitarkin lived in Hamburg, Kostrow in Moscow), the pair
soon split. Kostrow released his solo work under his own name, but
Gitarkin, ever faithful, created the spin-off project Messer Chups (Messer
meaning knife, Chups like Chupa Chups, the lollipop).
With Gitarkin in the driver's seat, Messer Chups was a frenzied musical
tornado drawing in more and more dialogue and score snippets, surf rock
riffs, historical recordings, and antique synthesizers, produced only in
the Soviet Union. In 1998, he was joined by German promoter and musician
Annette Schneider, who played synthesizer for Messer Chups, then a duo. By
then, Gitarkin had relocated to St. Petersburg, where he used audio
samples of Schneider's voice to create their first 1999 cassette tape,
Chudovishe i Chudovishe ("Monster and Monster"). Schneider left after
completion of that album, but St. Petersburg producer Oleg Tarassov was
taken with what he heard, and set out to re-release the album on his
label, Solnze Records. With new material, reworkings of old tracks, and
the musical stylings of Igor Vdovin (keyboard; formerly of the group
Leningrad), and others, the product was a whole new album, 2000's Miss
Libido. The album drew heavily from Soviet animation, reminiscent of
earlier efforts with Messer für Frau Müller. Their next release was 2000's
Bride of Atom and showcased even more Messer Chups insanity, this time
with samples of vocal ejaculations, and bits and pieces of scary movies
and surf rock. 2001's Vamp Babes was a monstrous tribute to B-movies with
track names like "Mobile Coffin" and "Cannibal Twist."
The 2002 addition of legacy theremin player Lydia Kavina steered the band
toward new musical improbability. Kavina's grand-uncle was Russian
theremin inventor Leon Theremin, whose instrument had become a fixture in
the same early horror films that Gitarkin so admired. The otherworldly
reverberation of the theremin was a natural addition to Messer Chups' 2002
release, Black Black Magic. A fifth album, The Best of Messer Chups:
Cocktail Draculina, included new tracks as well as revamped hits. In
addition to their committed studio presence, the band had begun to tour
extensively in Russia, Western Europe, and the United States. Not
surprisingly, live shows breached the multimedia, treating audiences to
hectic montages of the group's most cherished works of cinema by directors
like Ed Wood and Russ Meyer.
2005's album, Crazy Price supplements their already wraith-like lineup
with harp. The same year they also released Hyena Safari, and in 2007,
Zombie Shopping. In the interval between the two albums, Messer für Frau
Müller reappeared on Russian and German stages, and also in the recording
studio.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Regards.
