Booking offers (2021 #45)Dear all,Please find here under some musicians who are available for concerts/performances.I am booking dates for them.Feel free to get back to me if you want to set uo a concert/performance for one of them.
KHALAB (Italy)https://djkhalab.bandcamp.com/Availability: On request
Territories: The Netherlands + BelgiumAnd then there is Raffaele Costantino, one of Italy’s most renowned
radio hosts. He also DJs and produces under the moniker DJ Khalab, and
after three years of silence since his first and only album made in
collaboration with Malian talking drum master Baba Sissoko, on July 20th
he quietly dropped one of the most powerful records of the year – Black
Noise 2084.
Out for the London label On The Corner Records, his latest work is a
visionary statement, a synesthetic work that expresses much more than
just the music it contains. Starting from the title track « Black Noise »,
the sharp words of Tenesha The Wordsmith harshly scan the rhythm of the
music and intertwine with the layered polyrhythmic composition into a
gloomy, tenacious trance. « We are deaf to the sounds that define us »;
this track is a manifesto, and every manifesto is born out of the
necessity to protest against a status quo – in this case, opposing the
cliché around what black culture, black music and heritage are expected
to be.MIA ZABELKA (Austria) + GLENN HALL (Canada)https://miazabelka.bandcamp.com/album/the-quantum-violinAvailability: 2022
Territories: Europe + UKAtomized, interpolated, reconfigured, mosaiced, cut up, transported to the sonic territories of quantum interactions, the musical collaboration of Austrian violinist and Canadian electroacoustic improviser Glen Hall bends the clock of real time music. It enters a realm of vibrational ‘implants’, phase vocoded reversals, spatialized architectures, and unforeseen happenstances. The Quantum Violin is not a collection of academic violin exercises, it is a virtuoso escape hatch out of our imaginations’ ‘box’. Mia Zabelka’s violin exists as the centre of a quantum sound galaxy.YOKEL (UK)https://avonterrorcorps.bandcamp.com/album/smell-of-deerAvailability: 2022
Territory: EuropeWhether it’s as part of Avon Terror Corps, running his label Plaque, his
monthly slot on NOODS radio or hosting the club night, Slack Alice,
alongside Max Kelan, Anina, & Nadoone – it’s not unreasonable to say
Yokel has been operating in the Bristol underground for a fair few
moons. His illbient meets industrial and EBM tinged sound best showcased
on last year’s ‘Smell Of Deer’ EP (ATC008) and on collaborations with
friends such as Dali de Saint Paul and Franco Franco, amongst others.
With ATC he’s played around Europe and the UK, including at Berlin
Atonal and in recent months has supported the likes of Pink Siifu, Ben
Vince and Mick Harris. During 2021, he’s manned production duties for
GROVE, worked with LA via Jamaica’s Duppy Gun and has been on remix
duties for EBU & Jackson Veil Panther and Elder Island. His live show
encapsulates the scalding nucleus of his sound, moving between twisted
atmospherics, rolling weirdo electronics, smoked-out sonics and ruff hip
hop/dancehall infusions – a trip known to drag a string of friends and
collaborators along for the ride.
I hope to hear from you soon. All the best.Alain

A household name in Bristol, Max Kelan has navigated the industrial underbelly of his  hometown for a hot minute. Performing as part of Bad Tracking and Salac, his visual work also carries weight, providing music videos and live visuals too many including The Pop Group, Pinch, Fuck Punk, Giant Swan, Hodge and Tod Daraku to name a few. He also found time to run the exxxtra sweaty Industrial tinged party, Slack Alice and release a book of poetry and spoken word. Now producing and writing music as Kelan, this solo project see’s him lyrically dealing the UK housing crisis, seedy downtown pockets of fun, Cannibalism and a further exploration into the dark corners of his mind, all set to muscular drum machine workouts. His album Downtown is set to be released on Bristol Normcore in 2021.’

Larsen will be releasing a new collaborative album on November 11 2021 via Torino based publisher Witty Books. Over the course of 2020 Larsen released a series of monthly sessions of improvised music. It was a project intended as a sonic real-time documentary made available to their supporters on the Patreon platform.

In 2013 the artist Jacopo Benassi, through a series of photographs, documented his artistic residency in Guangzhou, China. These two voyages; Larsen’s voyage in time, deconstructed and reassembled in the form of a suite titled “A Chronicle” and Jacopo Benassi’s voyage in space collected in the book “Meiwo” come together now in an aural-visual dialogue.

Since 1995 Larsen has released 17 full length albums and 4 eps, which got remarkable worldwide press, and performed all over Europe, UK and North America.

Collaborations with such artists as Johann Johannsson, Michael Gira, Martin Bisi, Lustmord, Deathprod, Nurse With Wound, Z’EV, Baby Dee, Julia Kent, sci-fi icon Christine Schell plus the project -a band in

itself- XXL (aka Xiu Xiu + Larsen) also stand out on their record.

YUKI is the debut solo record by Basel-based multidisciplinary artist Yanik Soland. Inspired by film scores and sound design, YUKI is a 40 minute audio-piece in 11 chapters. Musical characters, each assigned a specific sound (such as a sampled quarter tone cembalo or synth voices) reappear across the chapters.

With a background playing bass in bands, Soland utilises various collaborative modes on YUKI: his partner Marianna Angel appears on overdubbed iPhone-recorded piano, Stefan Tcherepnin plays guitar over one chapter, and a rehearsal recording with Gleb Glonti forms the canvas for another.

YUKI—the name Soland’s parents had planned to give him, if he were a girl—is Japanese for snow, snow-princess or luck, and is here used as an alter ego within Soland’s practice. YUKI’s touchstones include Laurie Spiegel, Mark Fisher, Ruins, Dean Blunt, Maryanne Amacher, Tyler The Creator, Heather Leigh and Györgi Ligeti.

NOVI_SAD (Greece)
https://raster-raster.bandcamp.com/album/-
Availability: 12th-14th December
Territory: Belgium
Ancient Olympia-based artist Thanasis Kaproulias, working under the moniker Novi_sad is as much engaged by nature and the rudimentary sounds that are borne of remote environments as he is by the act of representing them. With an accomplished technical ability, as well as a sensitivity for the nuances of his considered locations, Novi_sad carefully recontextualises the scenery. The artist engages with the landscape by producing field recordings whose intensity is revived in spaces as sound pieces performed in-situ. Novi_sad treats every sound with integrity with a resulting resonance that invites and immerses the listener. Using an innovative approach inspired by the idea of ‘cinema pour l’oreille’ (cinema for the ear), Novi_sad aspires to ‘donner à voir’ (lead to seeing), by means of sound. Many of the artist’s projects are focused on architectural acoustics. His process brings unique field recordings into contact with various methods of audio analysis, as well as utilising quantitative and numerical data from different sources such as NASA.
Novi_sad’s projects have been presented internationally including at the Venice Biennale Film Festival, Venice; MUTEK Festival, Montreal and Mexico City; Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Amsterdam; Le Fresnoy – Studio National D’Arts Contemporains, Lille; Roy O. Paulina Owczarek and Peter Orins met in 2015, when they were both invited by pianist and conductor Satoko Fujii to participate in the creation of the Satoko Fujii Orchestra Berlin. A few concerts and two records of the orchestra later, the two musicians, one living in Krakow in Poland, the other in Lille in France, keep in touch or cross paths at concerts…
In 2019, the saxophonist invites the drummer to play his solo in Krakow, and the two take the opportunity to try the duet experience: the meeting is luminous. Both musicians are fond of a total and unlimited freedom, and of a research on timbres and sound experimentations. Close-up sound, play on the breaths and squeaks of objects, minimal approach but also raw energy that reminds a certain tradition of the saxophone-drum duo in the history of free-jazz…

Thiago Nassif is a Brazilian musician, composer and producer based in Rio de Janeiro, whose impactful mélange of pop, jarring no-wave, and edgy Tropicália has slowly been turning heads the world over.  His first album, “Garconnière », released in 2009, was produced by Rubens E.
Santo and built around audio collages. It was at this point that he became active within Sao Paulo’s independent music scene, improvising in clubs and galleries, exploring the visual aspects of sounds and the visual sensations they generate. In 2011, Thiago released his second album “Práxis”, a Greek word meaning ‘learning from experimenting’. For this, he gathered a supporting cast of musicians, painters, sculptors and architects, who each brought their own perspect-ives and techniques to the record.  His third album, “Três”, (co-produced by no wave icon Arto Lindsay), was released in 2016 in Brazil and re-released in 2018 via British label Foom to critical acclaim. Inspired by artists such as Tom Zé, Ricardo Villalobos, and James
Chance, the album features contributions from some of Brazil’s most exciting, new generational talents, such as Negro Leo and Domenico Lancelloti.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
