WAY THROUGH
WAY THROUGH are Claire Titley and Christopher Tipton, a pastoral punk duo
originally from Shropshire, now residing in London. Informed by the field
as much as the flyover, Way Through write songs which phase in and out
with guitar, tapes, damaged drums and vocals. Using wrong-footed
repetition, rapid interplay and free-looping happenstance the band create
a ragged yet intuitive tapestry of sound. Way Through’s critically
received debut, ‘Arrow Shower’ was released on Upset The Rhythm in 2011,
its songs walked the streets of market towns and focussed on how personal
experience affects our perception of a shared landscape, haunted by inward
territories. They then followed up their album with a deep map of East
London’s Bethnal Green, captured in text, photographs and music, which
WIRE described in an interview with the band as “a guided walk through the
mythologised outposts of ordinariness… a project rich in topographical
lore”. The Quietus added that Way Through “document and create another
version of place that somehow seeps into the space between reality and
urban fantasy”.

BOHREN DER CLUB OF GORE
Bohren & der Club of Gore are a noir jazz band founded in 1992 in Mülheim
an der Ruhr, Germany by Thorsten Benning (drums), Morten Gass (keys),
Reiner Henseleit (guitar), and Robin Rodenberg (upright / double bass).
They play a crossover of jazz and ambient, which they self described as an
“unholy ambient mixture of slow jazz ballads, Black Sabbath doom and down
tuned Autopsy sounds”. Over the years they have continously reduced and
compressed their music to extremes.

Originally, the members of Bohren, who were school friends, started out
playing in various hardcore bands such as 7 Inch Boots and Chronical
Diarrhoea in 1988. Driven by the idea of a more unique style of music,
they formed Bohren (German word for drilling) in 1992 to play, as they
called it, “doom ridden jazz music”. In 1993 the band released a 7-inch EP
for Suggestion Records. 1993 also saw the band expand their name to Bohren
& der Club of Gore, as a link to the Dutch instrumental band Gore, which
inspired Bohren to play instrumental music. 1994 followed the longplayers
Gore Motel and the double set Midnight Radio (1995), both on Epistrophy
Records, where Bohren introduced its musical vision between slow jazz-
ballads and doom-guitars.

Henseleit left the band in 1996 and was replaced by Christoph Clöser, a
Cologne-based composer and musician in 1997, replacing the guitar with a
saxophone at the same time. The band released Sunset Mission (2000), a
“slow but nonetheless melodious blend of Saxophone, Fender Rhodes, Bass
and Drums” on the Hamburg-based label Wonder. 2002 Bohren released Black
Earth where the band tried to expand the possibilities of new avenues
explored in SUNSET Mission, followed by the subsequent conceptual CD
Geisterfaust (2005). GEISTERFAUST carries the principles of reduction and
compression to extremes and at the sametime it is a band- experiment in
new “tone colours” (Tuba, Bass-Trombone, Vibraphone, choir). Both CDs are
released on WONDER. In autumn 2008 the new CD Dolores appeared on the
Belgian label Pias.”With DOLORES Bohren’s habit of making music which
often makes the listener feel like he or she is stuck in some dark room in
which the oxygen is slowly and mercilessly being extracted has
changed. When listening to DOLORES, listeners are sure to get feeling that
– after all these years – the shutters are being raised, the windows
thrown open, fresh air and sunlight are flooding into the room. Quite by
chance, the most natural thing in the world, cool, crisp and brazen..
In 2009 Bohren released the 10-Minutes Track MITLEID LADY. The track was
Bohren’s contribution to the Latitude Serie of Southern Records. In the
style of John Peel’s legendary BBC – Sessions, the London-based label
Southern Records started with the Latitude – Series a similar project – it
invited bands to never-to-be repeated series of session –recordings in a
limited edition, recorded and mixed in one day in Southern’s London
Studios. MITLEID LADY was recorded in November 2007, because of contract
difficulties, it was released in autumn 2009.
On 22nd April, 2011 the last BOHREN –release so far appeared – BEILEID
(PIAS): Three pieces, 37 minutes of eventful uneventful music, including a
coverversion of WARLOCKS „ Catch my heart” from HELLBOUND, the band’s
second album from 1985 with young Doro Pesch on vocals. In the
BOHREN-Version it is guest – singer MIKE PATTON, who graced the song with
an unbelievable performance.

GORDON ASHWORTH
It's been a long, strange journey for Gordon Ashworth over the past few
years. The Portland, Oregon resident has played in over 20 countries and
released countless artifacts under his various solo guises: Concern,
Oscillating Innards, CAEN, and others. He is also a member of the
black/death metal band, Knelt Rote. After retiring Concern, however, a new
aural picture has taken shape. S.T.L.A. showcases Ashworth at his absolute
best, pressing dense compositions through a unique prism that straddles
the line between melodic and abstract. Elemental influences of folk music
as well as musique concrete and acousmatic works are audible within the
sprawling confines of S.T.L.A.

Thanks for reading this long message.

Enjoy your week-end.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards.

A WITNESS

April 2014 will see the return to live performance of acclaimed indie band A WITNESS who will mark the 25th anniversary of the death of guitarist Rick Aitken with a series of concerts.

The line-up of the band – favourites of John Peel during the late 1980s who toured Europe extensively and released the classic album ‘I Am John’s Pancreas’ – will feature founder member and songwriter VINCE HUNT (bass) alongside guitarist Alan Brown (of Big Flame, The Great Leap Forward and one-time A Witness drummer. On vocals, new addition Crayola will replace original singer Keith Curtis while Rob Haynes of Goldblade will feature on drums.

The band are presently booked to play two London shows so far: with The Cravats on Saturday April 12th at The Buffalo Bar in Upper Street, Islington, London N1 and with The Wedding Present at Club 229 in London W1 on Saturday June 14th as part of the NME c86 re-release show.

Live UK shows throughout 2014 are being finalised in Glasgow, Nottingham and Birmingham with further dates later in the year. The band are also seeking dates across Europe and further afield as well as summer festival shows.

In a six-year career between 1983 and the death of guitarist Rick Aitken in 1989, A Witness released a critically acclaimed album ‘I Am John’s Pancreas’ and a series of 12” singles which made the NME charts as well as recording four sessions for John Peel. Their track ‘Sharpened Sticks’ was included on the original NME release C86 and Aitken’s death came just two weeks before the release of what would be their final single ‘I Love You, Mr Disposable Razors’. The band’s third and fourth Peel sessions were released as a double CD shortly afterwards.

Guitarist Rick Aitken was just 33 when he died in October 1989 in a climbing accident near Glen Coe, Scotland. The band has not performed since.

“Returning to live shows is an exciting prospect and it’s great to play the songs we wrote with Rick again,” said Hunt, who formed A Witness with Aitken in Stockport in 1982. “The songs are sounding great and this line-up is tight and keen to play. “I’m delighted that there’s still a lot of support and good feeling for the band, which is wonderful. It’ll be great to play songs which mean so much to me live again with such terrific musicians.”

Hunt and Haynes have formed the rhythm section of Inca Babies since 2008, while Brown and Crayola play together in Sarandon.

A Witness played at Alan McGee’s Living Room Club, The Bradford 1 in 12, Hull’s Unity Club and Thames Poly and across Europe before going on to appear with Swans, Sonic Youth, The Fall, The Three Johns, The Membranes, Nightingales, Bogshed and Ron Johnson labelmates Big Flame, Stump, The McKenzies and Twang.

LLEROY

The new frontiers of noise in Italy pass through the obsessive and claustrophobic sound of Lleroy, a power-trio formed by Francesco Zocca (guitar, vocals), Chiara Antonozzi (bass, vocals) and Riccardo Ceccacci (drums). Five years after « Juice of Bimbo », the debut album, they publish the new « Soma », sounding even more heavy and dirty. Their (evident) influences are to be searched in the AmRep old school noise-punk, and in bands such as Jesus Lizard, Unsane, Cows and Cherubs.

This is their first tour outside the borders of Italy.

BINMATU

BINMATU is an audiovisual experience. Psychedelic auralism resonating from stellar atmospheres. Sound oscillates between physical and etheric with speed of quartz crystals. Fine tune your eyes and open your ears. Auditory cortex glitches may occur.

BINMATU is a project of Jonas Gruska. Born in Czechoslovakia. Recently studying composition in Krakow (PL) and Institute of Sonology in The Hague (NL). Works mostly with computers and electronics as a musician and sound artist. He has authored interactive poems and visual performances, and is also a developer of open source computer instruments and artistic software. Gave workshops on city sonification and programming for artists.

Performed and exhibited his work in Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia.

I hope to hear from you asap.

BOOKING OFFERS: MIDAIRCONDO, SULTAN BATHERY, AROVANE

Dear all, I am booking some dates for: MIDAIRCONDO, AROVANE, and SULTAN BATTERY MIDAIRCONDO (Sweden) https://soundcloud.com/midaircondo Territory: Belgium Availability: From early April onwards AROVANE (Germany) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAICz50PmaM Territory: Europe Availability: From eand of April early May 2014 SULTAN BATHERY (Italy) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj9ZX1cS9o8 http://sultanbathery.bandcamp.com/ Territories: Belgium + France Availability: 20th and or 21st April 2014 MIDAIRCONDO Midaircondo is an electronica duo consisting of Lisa Nordström and Lisen Rylander Löve based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Rooted in avant-garde sound art, razor-sharp electronica, fragmented jazz and melancholic pop, Midaircondo has created a wondrous musical universe of hypnotic, tantalizing and direct music, moving seamlessly between challenging sound art and radiant pop music. AROVANE Berlin’s Uwe Zahn released his first tracks as the Arovane EP on the Din label, which also released the first of German dub minimalist Stefan Betke’s work as Pole. Stylistically, Arovane’s work hearkens back to the insular melodic electro of early Autechre, combining interesting, highly syncopated machine box rhythms with warm, delicate synth textures that evoke a gauzy, somewhat nostalgic mood contrasted by the sharpness of the rhythms. Indeed, while Autechre’s Amber has become a touchpoint of sorts for a whole new generation of laptop do-it-yourselfers whose music rarely rises above tribute, Zahn’s Arovane work is a legitimate extension of an aesthetic left largely unfinished, and is some of the most interesting and accomplished music of its kind. Fans of Ae, Funkstorung, Higher Intelligence Agency, and Phoenecia take note. SULTAN BATHERY SULTAN BATHERY is a brand newish band from Vicenza, Italy. Although they just formed this year, they already have become one of the most talked about bands in their local area. They have shared the stage with Honest John Plain (The Boys), Slaughter and the Dogs, Atomic Suplex at Guilty boat party in Venice, The Pretty Things, Black Lips at Vinile Festival and also played at « Whole lotta midsommar » in Stockholm . Sultan Bathery’s sound is a mix of neo-garage and lo-fi psychedelic rock. Thank you for reading. I hope to haer from you asap. Regards. BOOKING OFFERS: BJ NILSEN, ERIKM

Posted in Uncategorized on janvier 23, 2014 by debloque

Dear all, I’m booking some dates for BJ NILSEN and ERIKM BJ NILSEN (Sweden) http://mp3rally.com/2013/12/20/bj-nilsen-eye-of-the-microphone-2013/ Availability: Beween 1st and 18th May 2014 Territorty: Europe ERIKM (France) http://www.erikm.com/music/ Availability: May + June 2014 Territory: Europe (except but Franve) BJ NILSEN BJ Nilsen (b,1975 Sweden) Is a sound and recording artist. His work is based on the sound of nature and its effect on humans. He primarily uses field recordings and electronic composition as a working method. He has worked for film, television, theatre, dance and as sound designer. His newest album presented here is “Eye Of The Microphone” [Touch # TO:95, 2013] – a somewhat surreal audio rendition of the sounds of The City of London. Currently also working on The Acoustic City, a book publication with CD, co-edited with Matthew Gandy, [2014, JOVIS Verlag, Berlin]. ERIKM Since 1992, eRikm has extended the field of artistic experimentation on the international scene. Maintaining a constant fusion between thought, instinct and sensitivity, he pursues a simultaneity of practices and addresses the interplay between various compositional modes, relating to and using all languages. From his early experience as a guitarist through to his later visual work, he is a maverick genre-bender who breaks down anyone’s attempts to conveniently classify him. Quickly recognised as a virtuoso turntablist and sound artist (1996), eRikm has made a longlife habit of crossing all territories and « world-systems » deemed « independent », « institutional ». At the same time (1997), he has developed an open and aspirational approach toward the technological media, both as a means of development for a new economic model and as an instrument for creation, production and diffusion. He deals with sounds like living organisms, constantly in flux, always open to the risk of accident or delight/unisson. As he plays with all these contradictions in his improvisations, his performance reaches new heights of intensity, trading off both understanding and sensation, seriousness and farce, anticipation and instinct. His work references both the intimate and political, both popular and high culture, but without demonstration. Rather he creates a short-circuit connection between points with his live generated (and degenerated) material – from noise to reference – presenting multiple ways to capture each moment of the present in clear focus. Throughout his career, collaborations have naturally occurred with his audiences and contemporaries, most notably : Luc Ferrari, Christian Marclay, Akosh S., Mathilde Monnier, Bernard Stiegler, FM Einheit… The kind of coincidences which have confirmed his instinctive search for transmutation, and to play on several levels. Since 1997, on his own or with collaborators, eRikm has toured (with 5-7 on-tour projects to date), or created by request specific pieces, both transversal or for fixed spaces (record labels, radio, festivals, art centres…) In the meanwhile, each time building on what has emerged before, the most personal fragments from his work (notably from his early artworks in photography, drawings, visual installations and video) continue to substantiate a singular kaleidoscopic vision. Ultimately, eRikm’s research resonates through all of his work, bordering scientific discovery and a poetic curiosity of the world. Thanks for reading. I hope to hear from you as soon as possible. BOOKING OFFERS: COPPICE, GLITTER WIZARD

Dear all, I am booking some dates for COPPICE and GLITTER WIZARD. COPPICE (Usa) http://coppicehalifax.bandcamp.com/album/static-pharming-year-one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2LPVofgh5k Availability: Between 27th June and 5th July Territory: Europe GLITTER WIZARD (Usa) http://glitterwizard.bandcamp.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpyyXFmlzJo Availability: 16th April 2014 Territory: Belgium COPPICE Coppice, the Chicago-based duo of Joseph Kramer and Noé Cuéllar, have released a small but beautifully formed body of work showcasing unique instrumentation (bellows and electronics) and compositional practice. Big Wad Excisions builds on earlier experiments while tightening the focus and introducing new, unexpected elements. It also re-launches the Quakebasket label, which after lying dormant for six years and relocating to Louisville, KY, is entering a riotous second phase. Using specific instrumental preparations and aiming for an “impression of transparency” in their music, Coppice’s compositions are drenched in both clarity and mystery. They squeeze full-on velocity and lilting beauty out of instruments seen as discarded artifacts of unconsidered eras—huffing and cracking, puffing and firing. “Both of us are very focused on visceral ways of performing,” they reflect. “[We] let specific gestures and textural changes draw an audience into a special experience.” All throughout Big Wad Excisions, one hears music coming into being. Given the state of technology and society, no group should sound quite like Coppice does. However, the brilliance of their recent work has proven otherwise, blasting open the gates of the status quo and helping to redefine the future of music. Through their “sense of quiet risk” and their delicate balance of the transparent and the occluded, Coppice’s compositions parlay a double-tease of seduction and nuance: the humming and wheezing of the universe, breath by bellow breath. GLITTER WIZARD They are playing at Roadburn this year. Praise for Glitter Wizard‘s Hunting Gatherers from San Francisco’s aQuarius Records: We thumbed up the spacey synthy glitter-glam garage retro not-really-metal of this SF band’s Siltbreeze 7″ a while back, but then somehow skipped over reviewing their subsequent full-length, and are even a little behind the times in getting to this new LP of theirs too, but that’s ok ’cause the Glitter Wizard guys are also behind the times. Or maybe way out futuristically in front, way out anyway, again using ’60s and ’70s rock inspirations like Deep Purple, Hawkwind, The Doors, Bloodrock, Black Widow, and Iron Butterfly to help formulate their super groovy, more wizardly-than-thou sound, one that’s got lotsa synth, jamming electric organ, some flute and sax. Along with catchy riffs and amusing lyrics, often gleefully unserious (“I don’t worship the Devil, the Devil worships me”). Our kind of entertainment! I hope to hear from you asap. Regards. MOSKITOO

Born in 1978, grew up in Sapporo, Japan, Moskitoo is a sound and graphic designer and vocalist based in Tokyo.

In 2007, Moskitoo released her debut album “Drape” on New York’s 12k, one of the most important labels for minimal electronica music in the world.

Moskitoo creates her own musical world using everyday instruments and objects like guitars, xylophones, and toys, to produce a style where electronic sounds and the harmonic layer of her unique voice meet.

Thanks to the great success of “Drape”, especially overseas, Moskitoo toured Japan as well as the world, playing 13 shows including France, Belgium, Switzerland, New York, Boston and Canada.

She was invited to various events including art festivals such as the Camera Japan Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Send + Receive in Winnipeg, Canada, and a live studio session for Dutch National Radio. She did an Australia tour in 2011.

Subsequently, Moskitoo released “DRAPE REMIXES,” a remix e.p. with remixes by Taylor Deupree (12K), Frank Bretschneider (raster-noton) and Mark Fell (SND), and “Si Sol E.P.,” a 7 inch record in collaboration with Sanae Nishio, Japanese painter who contributed her work for the sleeve art.

Other Moskitoo work has ranged from music for the iPhone/iPad app “Night on the Galactic Railroad by Kenji Miyazawa: a Music Picture-book” to remix work worldwide.

ROLY PORTER

Two years after his landmark debut Aftertime, former Vex’d member Roly Porter presents his second full length LP, Life Cycle Of A Massive Star.

The piece explores expansive scale and macroscopic processes through the thematic framework of the birth and death of a cosmic star system. The album is underpinned by a parallel investigation into the human response to this vast celestial order and its overarching dialogue with the infinitesimal lives we lead. The material considers the crucible of space as a poignant symbol of the brevity of existence and highlights humanity’s part as both observers and participants in an endless cosmic cycle of creation and destruction.

Whilst the album continues on from Porter’s previous work, through fractured eruptions and volcanic textures, it equally invokes a more historical mode of reflection. Enacting a distant remembrance of the history of electronic music and a dreamlike recollection of a Wagnerian landscape.

THE JIST

The Jist focuses on an electro-acoustic expression, and different types of interactions within the sound, aesthetics, and noise.

Thanks for reading.

Enjoy your week-end.

I hope to hear from you asap.

BOOKING OFFERS: JOHN COHEN/DEAD FADER, NICOLA RATTI, FUJAKO

Posted in Uncategorized on janvier 16, 2014 by debloque

Dear all,

I'm booking some dates for the following artists: JOHN COHEN/DEAD FADER,
NICOLA RATTI, FUJAKO.

NICOLA RATTI (Italy)
http://www.nicolaratti.com/
Availability; 25th, 26th, 27th April
Territories: Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Frabce

JOHN COHEN/DEAD FADER (UK)

Availability; Many open dates in March 2014
Territory: Europe

FUJAKO (Belgium)

Availability: 132th and 24th May
Territories: Europe

NICOLA RATTI

Born in Milan in 1978. Began his musical career as guitar player. Lately
his approach is more focused on beat-analog experimentation and sound
installation. He is currently working with: Giuseppe Ielasi with whom he
formed the project entitled Bellows, Attila Faravelli as Faravelliratti,
~Tilde, a trio with Enrico Malatesta and Attila Faravelli. He played
guitar from 2007 to 2013 in the desertic soundtrack-band Ronin. He has
performed live in Europe and North America, and his albums had been
released by Anticipate, Preservation, Die Schachtel, Entr’acte, Senufo
Editions, Megaplomb, Musica Moderna, Boring Machines, Coriolis Sounds,
Zymogen, Holidays Rec.

JOHN COHEN/DEAD FADER
A low-key record packed full of the kind of squeaks and groans you’d
expect to hear in The Haxan Cloak’s basement, Deaf Arena has been sanded
down by Cohen into the faint remains of what was once a collection of
songs. Fragments of melodies can just about be heard over jagged skeletal
rhythms and tube-damaged detuned synthesizers, and it all holds together
remarkably well.

It’s not a noise album, it’s definitely not ambient and it’d be a stretch
to label it as dance music – Cohen takes only the bits of each genre that
he needs, and the result is exhilarating.

FUJAKO
FUJAKO came out of the clash of Jonathan Uliel Saldanha and Nyko Esterle,
two producers obsessed with echo, bass and space. The first one, raised in
Portugal and part of the collective Soopa, plays with HHY & The Macumbas
and is also known as HHY. The second one, raised in France, part of the
Radon collective, plays with Solar Skeletons and is also known as Ripit.
Both met to summon music of unlooped hip-hop, filled with spectres of
haunting dub and ecstatic scapes.

Thanks for reading.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Regards.

BOOKING OFFERS: THE NIGHTINGALES, KRIMINAL HAMMOND INFERNO

Dear all, I am booking some dates for THE NIGHTINGALES and KRIMINAL HAMMOND INFERNO THE NIGHTINGALES (UK) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8pFz9OF9tw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvD0noU7szQ&list=PLLtNV1IYfRrB2fIt63sQqLp6eTry6OdPr&index=1 Availibility: May 2014 Territory; Europe KRIMINAL HAMMONND INFERNO (Belgium) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LMselJt_2Y https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kriminal-Hammond-Inferno/27728332092 https://soundcloud.com/kriminal-hammond-inferno Availability: Any time Territory: Belgium THE NIGHTINGALES: The Nightingales play a uniquely indigenous, all-encompassing brand of working class rock ‘n’ roll. Beneath the Beefheart lurch and the Stooges stomp you can hear football chants and northern soul, blues and bluebeat, folk song and country and western; even music hall and Frank Sinatra. Filter this through mainman Robert Lloyd’s own experiences, observations, temperament and talent and you’ve got music that is as original as it is uncompromising – BEN GRAHAM/STOOL PIGEON, UK Yet nothing in Subway Sect’s admittedly excellent return could have prepared for the astonishing revelation of Robert Lloyd’s Nightingales. Feeding off the hard-drilled energy of the junior initiates, Apperley spins frayed Bo Diddley riffs around Lloyd’s tumbling psychedelic eavesdroppings, allowing the singer to recycle, reinvent and repurpose thirty years of vituperative notebook aphorisms, constructing an intense, breathless narrative from the recycled past to the scorched present. The cumulative effect is one of euphoric delight, of old knowledge in the hands of new disciples. Contender for gig of the year! – ANDREW MALE/MOJO, UK The ‘Gales are consistently one of the best live experiences in the country. Forty minutes segued together seamlessly, a cocktail of 60’s garage and psychedelia shaken up with krautrock. It’s heady, fresh and invigorating. – BRIGHTON NOISE, UK It’s thrilling to watch the songs’ complex arrangements come to life and the surplus of ideas on display is nothing short of dizzying. – LEWIS PORTEOUS/THE FLY, UK A loud, awkward, exciting live act. They were droll, surly, ace, a proper rock & roll group. – DAVID BENNUN/MAIL ON SUNDAY, UK A mean machine since returning to active duty. The blunt, raucous attack of their new album ‘No Love Lost’ was finessed into a seamless set of powering post-punk rock ‘n’ roll by a fiery unit who were totally in command. – FIONA SHEPHERD/THE SCOTSMAN, UK This is one of the best live bands in the UK at the moment. Fliss Kitson is one of the most amazing drummers you are ever likely to see . – GED BABEY/LOUDER THAN WAR, UK The Nightingales play with rock in a manner that is sometimes difficult, belligerent and downright confusing, but never fails to be utterly compelling. – SILENT RADIO, UK The Nightingales – they’re back and they’re marvellous – MARC RILEY/BBC 6 MUSIC, UKNightingales are unreal. The level of playing and songwriting after their post-punk hiatus is unparalled by any of their generational comeback cohorts – TERRE T/WFMU, USAWith The Fall getting Lifetime Achievement awards and Gang Of Four canonised it is long past time the wayward genius of Robert Lloyd and his cohorts was recognised – RECORD COLLECTOR, UKConsistently excellent, the Nightingales are back, as ferociously sardonic as ever. Nice to see them still mad, still funny,. still wrecking the furniture after all these years. – DUSTED, USA KRIMINAL HAMMOND INFERNO The Kriminal Hammond Inferno team sharpens its plan for global domination with Kriminal Dan (Vale Tudo Freefight drummer), Diabolix Sim (bankrupted steel industry magnat & organ addict) now joining forces with Doktor Konstantin Zoog (Hallucinated Fungi Farmer). They travel as an undercover band, mesmerizing audiences with subliminal brainwave parasite signals, hidden in pop tunes from the 17th century to 60’s & 70’s charts or obscure Italian Fumetti Soundtracks! EXPECT NO MERCY! Thanks for reading. I hope to hear from you as soon as possible. Regards. ROEDELIUS/SCHNEIDER
The electronic pioneer Hans-Joachim Roedelius lives in Baden near Wien
(Austria) and is a legendary figure in popular music. He founded the
seminal bands Cluster and Harmonia, which also included Dieter Moebius and
Michael Rother. He produced the albums « Zuckerzeit » (1974) and « Deluxe »
(1975), which are considered blueprints for today’s electronica and were
recently successfully reissued. And in the late 70s he worked with the
great Brian Eno – the albums « Cluster & Eno » (1977), « After The Heat »
(1978) and « Tracks & Traces » (1997) document the cooperation between the
Bowie and U2 producer and the sound researcher who was then living in a
creative commune in Forst.
Roedelius began releasing solo albums in 1978. He was already exploring
the interplay between piano and electronics on his second LP, « Jardin au
Fou » (1979). This synthesis is also the core of « Stunden ». The Düsseldorf
based Stefan Schneider was a founding member of Kreidler (1994–99) and
is part of the trio To Rococo Rot. He has released several albums under
the name Mapstation.

SHARRON KRAUS
Sharron Kraus is a singer of traditional folk songs, a songwriter and
multi-instrumentalist. As well as drawing on the folk traditions of
England and Appalachia, her music is influenced by gothic literature,
surrealism, myth and magick. Her songs tell intricate tales of rootless
souls, dark secrets and earthly joys, the lyrics plucked as sonorously as
her acoustic guitar.

She has released four solo albums, the first of which, ‘Beautiful
Twisted’, was named by Rolling Stone in their Critics’ Top Albums of 2002.
As well as her solo work, Sharron has recorded an album of traditional
songs – ’Leaves From Off The Tree’ – with Meg Baird and Helena Espvall of
Espers, written an album of songs to celebrate the seasons of the year –
‘Right Wantonly A-Mumming’ – which was recorded with some of England’s
finest traditional folk singers including Jon Boden, Fay Hield and Ian
Giles – as well as recording and performing as a duo – Rusalnaia – with Ex
Reverie’s Gillian Chadwick, with Tara Burke (Fursaxa) as Tau Emerald and
with Irish free-folk collective United Bible Studies.
Sharron has been featured in The Wire, fRoots, Uncut, The Sound Projector
and Dirty Linen, and is one of the musicians focussed on in Jeanette
Leech’s Seasons They Change: The Story of Acid, Psych and Experimental
Folk. She has appeared on Radio 3′s ‘The Verb’, and recorded sessions for
BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Shropshire, Freakzone on Radio 6, and
independent radio stations across the US.
Sharron’s latest album, ‘Pilgrim Chants and Pastoral Trails‘, released on
Second Language, is a collection of soundscapes recorded in the Cambrian
Mountains in Mid Wales, where she was living for 3 years.

STUNTMAN
From Sète, situated on the southern shorelines of France, a brutalizing
outfit known as STUNTMAN thrives. Having polluted the atmospheres of this
lush, beautiful landscape since Autumn 2002, through a plethora of lineup
changes over the years, and following a considerable discography thus far
including two previous albums, an EP, a split and a dozen compilations
appearances, STUNTMAN now prepares to deliver their most energetic hatred
yet, with the release of their third album, Incorporate The Excess.
Rampant noise-soaked angular hardcore courses through every second of
these new tracks STUNTMAN drops on Incorporate The Excess, the album
reminiscent of turn-of-the-century pioneers Botch, Keelhaul, Unsane and
Knut while brandishing blasting grindcore attitude. Recorded and mixed by
Amaury Sauvé at Studio La Senelle and mastered by Nick Zampiello and Rob
Gonella at New Alliance East, the nearly twenty-seven minute hellride of
Incorporate The Excess ensures you’ll incur whiplash, then drags you
through a torturous feedback frenzy right to the bitter end. Incorporate
The Excess will be released through Solar Flare Records on January 18th,
2014 digitally and as a 12” LP, in both black and clear/splatter color
schemes, in addition to a CD release through Head Records and a cassette
version through Lost Pilgrims. With more than 150 shows in their rearview
mirrors, counting five European tours including runs with Coalesce,
Russian Circles, Jucifer, Genghis Tron, Child Abuse, Kongh, Mumakil and
countless others, STUNTMAN will be decimating audiences once again with
material from Incorporate The Excess in the coming months.

Thanks for reading.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Regards.

Alain
