Dear promoter,

Please find here under some artists and bands who will be touring soon.

Feel free to contact me if you want to set up a concert for one of them.

HASSAN K (France/Iran)

Availability: From early September onwards
Territories: Europe + UK
DIY artist, Keyvane (his real name) mixes folklore and technologies, occident and orient, surf music and
bellydance, swing and heavy metal… in crazy live acts, not too far from transe. With a guitar, a keyboard and
a few sensors, he travels from the west kingdom to the Turan, spreading the words of his illuminated
ancestors..

ZOVIET FRANCE (UK)

Availability: From September onwards
Territories: EUROPE + UK
Zoviet France is an idiosyncratic collective of anonymous postindustrialists, dronologists, and pseudo-ethnomusicologists. Their investigations have taken them into semi-fictional cultures where reality is not easily located – although oft-forgotten historical markers, such as beachhead bunkers, occasionally punctuate their cover artwork – and often slips into the realm of the waking dream. Having secluded themselves in Newcastle, England since their inception in 1982, :Zoviet*France: have developed a radical relationship with the cheap technologies of old-fashioned tape recorders, homemade acoustic instruments, primitive looping and sampling devices, and basic dub trickery. From these machines, the collective has crafted a distinctly unique vocabulary of postindustrial sonic hypnosis. Just as :Zoviet*France:’s sound was alchemic reconfigurations of inexpensive technologies, their vinyl packaging literally covered their sounds with aluminum, roofing shingles, and porcelain. Adding to their mystery, linear notes are precious few and hard to find, to the point of 6-point typeface printed on the spine of Rorschach-like fold-out illustrations. In fact, during the pre-CD era their vinyl packaging usually evoked as much mystery and fascination as the music itself.

SUNNATA (Poland) + YATRA (USA)
https://yatradoom.bandcamp.com/releases (Yatraà
https://www.youtube.com/user/sunnataofficial
Availability: 9th nd 10th October
Territory; Belgium
Ritual heavy music. Walls of fuzz, delay and reverb confront the monolith of absolute silence. (Sunnata)
YATRA is a journey into mountainous sound, transcending into the deep forests of primeval times. Born from the ashes of the Maryland doom band Blood Raven, YATRA emerged creating a new powerful trio, stronger and heavier than ever.

YXIMALLOO (Japan)

Availability: 7th – 20th July
Territories: Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Norway, Sweden
First European shows in 12 years for the one-man mysterious phenomenon that is Yximalloo, who has somehow maintained his obscurity despite making and recording music since the 1970’s with releases on labels including ESP-Disk and Kompakt, and champions including artists as diverse as Jad Fair (Half Japanese), Momus, and members of Animal Collective.
Yximalloo’s music builds on primitive trance-like rhythms mixed with offbeat pop sensibilities by way of crude electronic sampling. A true masterpiece, a modern-day Moondog off the streets of present-day Tokyo, London, NYC, and wherever you happen to be.

ANGELUS APATRIDA (Spain) + CRISIX (Spain)

Availability: 27th – 29th October
Territory: Belgium
Spanish Thrashers Angelus Apatrida began their journey over a decade ago. Their powerful blend of old school Thrash and an unusual modern technical approach helped them to become leaders of the game in their homeland and one of Europe’s most promising Heavy Metal newcomers, that eventually helped them signing a record deal with Century Media in 2009.
Since that moment, this relentless commando has released three albums, toured the five continents, played together with bands like Anthrax, Megadeth or Slayer and even saw their previous album, ‘Hidden Evolution’ (2015), making it to an impressive #2 in the Spanish Charts.
Crisix was born in February 2008 under the name of Crysys. The band was originally formed by Javi Carrión and Marc Torras (ex-members of Shadon). They looked to friends of other local bands to fill their line-up, and this way Marc Busqué (ex-Helltears) and Albert Requena (ex-Face) joined on guitars. The first singer of the band couldn’t be present at the presentation’s concert, and they decided to replace him with Julián Baz (bassist of Bourbon Society). The group realized that Juli’s voice was fitting better to the style that the band was looking for, and they decided to propose him the singer’s position, closing out the formation.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to hearing from you asap.

All the best.

Dear all,

Please find here under some bands and musicians who will be touring soon.

Feel free to contact me if you want to set up a concert for one of them.

Thank you very much.

NEANDER (Germany)

Availabilities: 10th and 15th September
Territory. Belgium

This is the missing link between Explosions in the Sky and Bongripper says a friend about Berlin based instrumental 5-piece neànder. Where do you draw the line between Post-Metal, Doom, Stoner or even Modern Black Metal? Post-Rock and Underground Metal have always been familiar. This is sweeping Ambient music combined with the intensity of a Norwegian Black Metal group. Epic songs hovering around the 10 minute mark. Black Sabbath influenced droning Doom riffs ascending into heavenly, dreamy soundscapes. 5 hypnotic chapters made to be listened to in its entirety; this album tends to be ritual music. Founded in 2017 the collective consists of members from bands like Ånd, Patsy O’ Hara, Earth Ship and indie collective Casper. Asked about why they keep their music on an instrumental level the answer is „a singer would reduce us into being either a Metal- or a Post-Rock band. We believe that the sacrifice of lyrics will keep our musical vision open and will help to intend on the music.
TUDOSOK (Hungary)

Availability: From 18th October backwards
Territory: Europe + UK

Tudósok is a major representative of the underground and progressive music scene in Central Europe, who mix poetry, music and performance into a uniquely powerful, original and special artistic language. Their music is a powerful seven-handed drum fluctuation, a warm bass that pumps up the throat, a sax and trumpet that pierce the heart, an organ that teases your lungs and takes you to the sky and lyrics that shuttle away the brain. Their art transmits a synthesis of pop and punk, East and West through the power of atavistic improvisation, deconstructed rock, pop art and no wave jazz into a uniquely original scream joyful to hear. Their concerts bring you to a world halfway between Talking Heads and Alexander Scriabin, Nirvana and Mozart, Captain Beefheart and Theolonius Monk, Scrillex and Béla Bartók.
MDME SPKR (France)

Availability: September and October
Territories: France, Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany

In MDME SPKR’s « Humanoid » we are the witness to the birth of one of the great rock n’roll voices. » Steven Hutchinson (UK)
« Primitive and raw, there is a vitality to MDME SPKR’s « Humanoid » that is missing in much of music today. It’s a proper mental flossing that cleans your musical palate. » Dave W. (White Hills)
« Ego-destroying and powerful soul music in the true sense of the word » Demian Castellanos (The Osci)
DAVID SHEA (USA)

https://soundcloud.com/room40/sets/david-shea-piano-i

Availability: 12th November – 8th December
Territory: Europe + UK

Manhattan-based composer David Shea is closely associated with the New York Downtown experimental music scene, which includes collaborators such as John Zorn, Anthony Coleman, Bill Frisell, Marc Ribot, Fred Frith, Ikue Mori, and Bill Laswell. A sonic architect utilizing samplers, turntables, drum machines, and sequencers in complex amalgamations of genre and cultural reference, Shea is apt to move from probing electro-acoustics to Chinese traditional music, American pop, Latin jazz, and exotica in the space of a single piece. The bulk of his work appearing under his own name has been released through Zorn-related labels such as Tzadik and Avant, as well as through Belgian experimental music label Sub Rosa. Employing compositional methods forged from early electronic experimentalists such as Iannis Xenakis, Morton Feldman, Gyorgi Ligeti, and John Cage, Shea also adds more modern techniques of digital sound design and manipulation, cutting the combination with a wide palette of historical and cultural influence.
CIGÜE (France)

Availability: October – December
Territories: Europe + UK

Catherine was a non-guitarist in the drone/dream doom duo M[[O]]ON before performing solo under the moniker Ciguë—the French word for hemlock, an herbaceous flowering plant that grows near streams, ditches, roadsides and wasted areas, and is extremely toxic. Ciguë can be described as rural industrial music, noise lullabies, non-guitar drone folk, or as anything that is both a poison and a remedy.
RIPIT (Belgium)

https://silkentofu.bandcamp.com/album/tsatsa-tushen
https://thirdtypetapes.bandcamp.com/album/ttt16-ripit-lvnar-xtorxion

Availability: On request
Territory: Europe + UK

Ripit, a.k.a Nicolas Esterle, started his musical activities as a black metal guitar player in 1995. In 1998 he turns into radical electronic, developing a noisy, rhythmical and psychedelic sound based on primitive synthesizer use. He evolves to a more complex form of sound tending to beat micro-surgery and orchestral bombast.

Back to a more primal creative technique, his live sets are based today on the extensive use of modular synths, ol’time drum machines and no-input mixers to create a dancy, acid music, plunging the crowd in a magma of electrical textures mixing dance-floor references and magnetic fog. While his studio works jumps from crawling Dub to analog grind core, from Hardcore Teknoise to mid-tempo dusty electro.

He released loads of records on numerous labels and toured several times in North America and Europe.

In 2006, he founded with TZII (www.tzii.tk), the protean project SOLAR SKELETONS (www.solarskeletons.com).
In 2007, he founded the concrete Dub/Mutant Rap project FUJAKO with portuguese Dub strategist HHY (www.soopa.org).

He collaborated with musicians such as Steve Mackay (the Stooges), Mike Watt (Minutemen, The Stooges), Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra), Otto Von Schirach, End.user, Xanopticon, Hecate, Clipping, Le Syndicat, Sikhara… to name a few.

He also remixed musicians such as Gnod (uk), Prairie (be), Clipping. (usa), a034 (it), HHY & The Macumbas (pt), Live Low (pt), Tzii (be)…
He’s also a skilled live sound engineer, working live for bands like Ammar 808, Prairie and Orphan Swords. He’s as well a mastering engineer at Ångström Mastering.
SIMON WHETHAM (UK)

https://glisteningexamples.bandcamp.com/album/cal-y-canto
https://mappa.bandcamp.com/album/open-and-closed-circles

Availability: From 24th June onwards and from 17th June backwards
Territory: Europe

I work with sound as I enjoy the initial exploration of a location, discovering it’s characteristic and hidden sounds, and the patience this takes. It is this process that acquaints me with many aspects of a place.
During this process I often record intriguing sounds I hear, which immediately disconnects the sounds from their source, de-contextualising them. The activity that caused the sound is already in the past but an imprint of it, part of it’s essence, has been retained. These captured moments of time can be heard again, the sound no longer ephemeral.
I explore the fact that sound is energy, and I use recordings or live action to trigger motion in objects or transform a sound by playing it through various materials, resonating them. I wish to explore further energy forms, such as light, wind and water to produce or trigger sound.
It is the physical quality of sound that inspires and excites me. That it can be felt, but you are unable to touch it.
PAUL COURLET (France)

https://antiochekirm.bandcamp.com/

Availability: From early September onwards
Territory: Europe + UK

Paul Courlet is an adventurous musician, bassist, handyman and researcher of all kinds, author of projects with variable dimensions (Antioche Kirm, Merzuga, Essor du Vultur…), he also collaborates with the post-rock band Gros-Oiseau.

With an approach to the bass-effects concept totally devoted to echo chambers, feedback and resonant filters, Paul Courlet immerses us in a sound universe that oscillates between avant-garde-electronic-music and post-rock, deviant textures,minimalist-paterns, and drones. On stage, he sometimes reveals his enigmatic digressive chronicles.

Thank you for your time and reading.

Miguel and Jasper can both play guitar as well as bass guitar, which gives the band more variety of sound.
Key words for « Retirement Overdue »: rough energy, unpredictable, freedom, dada-punk!

He went to university for mathematics and musicology but did not finish those studies. In the late 1970s he started to compose music.

From around the year 1995 on Blonk started work with electronics, at first using samples of his own voice, then extending the field to include pure sound synthesis as well. As a vocalist, Jaap Blonk is unique for his powerful stage presence and keen grasp of structure, even in free improvisation. He has performed around the world, on all continents. Dear promoters,

Please find here some artists znd bands who will be touring soon.
Feel free to get in touch with me if you want to set up a concert/performance for one of them.

ZAHRA MANI/ MIA ZABELKA (Austria)

Availability: From September onwards
Territory: Europe + UK
ZAHRA MANI _ Bass guitar, field recordings, live electronics
MIA ZABELKA _ Electric violin, vocals, live electronics and alien devices
Mia Zabelka and Zahra Mani have been collaborating since 2002, when they founded the “One.Night.Band” ensemble for experimental music. They also joined forces with Lydia Lunch for the trio project Medusa’s Bed and play in various different solo and ensemble constellations.
Mia Zabelka is at the forefront of Austrian and international electro-acoustic performance art. She developed her unique musical language in a process she calls “automatic playing”, where the music grows out of her body and gestures and finds its expression in her electric violin with effects, vocals, and / or acoustic violin.
Zahra Mani comes from the UK and Pakistan and has been living in Austria since 2002. The mulit-instrumentalist developed her musical voice in an idiomatic combination of field recordings and live instruments together with live electronics to create complex, dense but differentiated, pulsing sonic worlds.
The musical exchange between Zabelka and Mani is a multi-faceted dialogue, where Mani’s sounds create an expanding framework for Zabelka’s virtuosity in lyrical, screaming, organic, swelling, complex, poly-rhythmical soundscapes. Their performances offer a glimpse of an ongoing and developed process, a work-in-progress that continues to explore and discover new aspects of sound, silence, bodies and space.

ADAM MATSCHULAT (Brazil)

Availability: From September onwards
Territory: Europe
Adam Matschulat is a self-taught composer from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Based in London since 2007, his approach to performance and composition are deeply influenced by his background in poor theatre and concrete music. He also runs the independent label Resterecords and sound studio The Listening Tower.

STUDIO SHAP SHAP (Niger)

Availability: 28th June, + in July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st
Territories: Europe + UK
The band started off in 2015 as a project that was inspired by a new radio station in Niamey, which was searching for local musicians who could create 27 songs in three days for its broadcast programme. Studio Shap Shap are Oumarou Adamou (Niger), Boubacar Siddo Diallo (Niger), Seyni Halidou (Niger), Haruna Abdou (Niger), Christian Koulnodji (Chad) and Laetitia Cecile (Reunion Island). The six-piece ensemble is known for fusing traditional and contemporary beats, inspired by nature, the communities they live in and the band members’ historical backgrounds. Mixing nature and city, traditional and electro, speech and singing magnify the traditional instruments. Ancient knowledge to rely on and go beyond modernity for a true contemporary African sound. Despite the challenges, the group managed to independently release their debut album ‘Chateau I’, which was recorded outside under a hut. They have grown a lot since their first album and have been busy recording their 2nd album which soon will be released.

THE CHAPAS (France)

Availability: From early September onwards
Territory: Europe + UK
Coming from Brittany, France, The Chapas have build their blues rock sound in such a way that you don’t put them in the same basket as the Black Keys or White Stripes.
It is more about walking on their elders steps such as The Doors, The Stooges, Black Sabbath or Jimi Hendrix.
In fact, Swann Yde vocals (also on drums) takes us back to the wild hours of Jim Morrison and even more during live performances. He is never far from trance.
On the guitar, iolo Gurrey (Fingers and Cream) lets the fuzzy riffs flow down in a raw and elegant manner so it glues to the vocals and drum beats.
The Chapas is for sure a live band making no compromise on energy but they know how to share heavy blues rock with sensitivity and truth, so did their elders.
