Booking offers (2021 #24)Dear all,Please find here under some bands and musicians who will be soon touring.I am booking dates for them.Feel free to get in touch with me if you want to set up a concert for one of them.
LE RYTHME DES FOURMIS (Belgium)https://lerythmedesfourmis.bandcamp.com/Availability: On request
Territory: Europe + UKStyle : Radical metal drum, visual performance & urban trance !
Nice to meet you, we are the ants ! If you were looking for something
different, you just found it! Some might say drumming on metal drums is
« déjà vu », we would answer « what about guitars and keyboards »?!
Recycle to basic, the soundtrack of the next parties and riots! « Le
Rythme des Fourmis » has been drumming for years now (in many places and
events, streets and festivals), building a growing audience and has
numerous fans asking for the album…
A total rhythmical and visual show, unique and explosive! Ten (and
more!) Percussionists drumming under your faceted eyes and exited
antennas some rhythmic prowess as much as physical; as said in the old
ant-adage: « Les tonneaux c’est pas du bidon! » The Ants brings rhythm to
your festival, event, discos and protesta-fiesta with the sound of their
metal grooves. Rhythmic prowess as much as visual because for the raw
metal sounds to become the haunting rhythm, this compelling urban trance
requires great precision, poly-rhythms require absolute concentration, a
true ant-symbiosis!
A complete show or two, three and more sets of fifteen minutes each,
presents the advantage of variable geometry and therefore adaptable to
each situation.CHRISTINE ABDELNOUR (France) + ANDY MOOR (UK)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkf_SYQEcLQAvailability 22ns, 24th and 25th September 2021
Territories; Europe + UKBorn in 1978, Christine lives in France but is of Lebanese origin.
After discovering improvised music in 1997 she began a process of
self-taught study and sound experimentation using the alto saxophone.
She has developed a unique personal language, producing sounds that are
close to those of electroacoustic music but on a purely acoustic
instrument. She approaches sound as a malleable material, rich in
concrete textures which combine breath, silence and countless acoustic
distortions. She has developed extended techniques and complex patterns
of sound production, exploring the microtonal aspects of the saxophone
and its high-pitched tones. She employs subtle tonguing techniques,
unpitched breaths, spittle-flecked growls, biting, slicing notes and
breathy echoing sounds from the bell of her horn. Far from any narrative
effects, her music addresses the relation between listening and concepts
of perception, time and space.
Andy Moor has been playing the guitar for 27 years and wary of rules
when it comes to his craft, preferring instead to be lead by spontaneity
and instinct. In what started as a general interest playing rock n roll
Moor’s musical career soon gave way to a curiosity about broader forms
of music. First gaining notoriety for his contribution to Dog Faced
Hermans, Moor then transitioned to become the official guitarist of
Dutch experimental punk band The Ex. Still a member of the band, Moor
has since expanded his musical horizons to include free jazz, rebetika
and sound art, founding the Unsounds label in 2001 with long-time
collaborator and sound artist Yannis Kyriakides and designer Isabelle
Vigier. Unsounds has released records by Robert Ashley, Francisco Lopez,
John Butcher, Kaffe Matthews and Anne-James Chaton.DECOLONIZE YOUR MIND SOCIETY [Hungary]https://decolonizeyourmind.bandcamp.comAvailability: 15yth-19th Novvember 2021
Territories: Europe + UKInspired by non-European traditional music, non-tempered tuning systems,
psychedelic ritual performances and the legendary Fourth World music by
Jon Hassell and Brian Eno, Decolonize Your Mind Society was founded by
Balint Szabo Gosheven as a natural continuation of his creative focus
and work. The Hungarian band floats in a hazy no man’s land between
psychedelic rock, avant-garde, jazz and experimental music, with the
glissonic wind instrument (glissotar) and analog synthesizer adding to
their absolutely unique sound. The six-piece just released their debut
in October.DC_33.33 (USA)https://alreadydeadtapes.bandcamp.com/album/oblique-opaqueAvailability: 23rd May 2022 – 30th June 2022

Gabriel. His first full-length was released via the pan y rosas net
label which The Wire described as, « directionless
assaults of non-musical sound. » His second full-length will be released
on cassette via Already Dead Tapes  on 21 February. Mr. Gabriel also

Booking offers (2021 #23)Dear all,Please find here under some bands and musicians who are available for live concerts/ performances.I am booking some dates for them. Please write back if you want to set uo a performance/concert for one of them.
TEONIKI ROZYNEK [Poland] + QBA JANICKI [Poland]https://dymrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-14th-m-zg-festivalAvailability: On request
Territories: Europe + UKTeoniki Rożynek Composer born in 1991 in Cracow, Poland. Lives in
Warsaw. Her works are mostly electroacoustic but also instrumental
and electronic. Rożynek frequently collaborates with film and theatre
directors and performers. Inspired mostly by vibration of
environment in which she lives. Fascinated by ‚dirty’ and glitchy sound,
frequently ‚unmusical’ – sounds of machines and engines, noise of
cities and nature.
Qba Janicki – born 6th February 1989 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Currently
living in Sokołowsko. Growing out of the artistic society gathered
around famous club MÓZG. Over last 15 years he performed hundreds of
concerts, with such personalities as Jerzy Mazzoll, Sławek Janicki,
Roscoe Mitchell, Tomasz Sroczyński, Toshinori Kondo, Peter
Brotzmann,
Kris Wanders or Fred Frith. Currently he works solo and in such
formations as Malediwy with Marek Pospieszalski, Kondensator
Przepływu with Bartłomiej Chmara, Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet as well as in duos
with composer Teoniki Rożynek and belgian producer Obsequies.
Besides playing instruments, he also composes music for theatre working with
Maciej Podstawny, Paweł Łysak, Artur Pałyga and Grzegorz Jaremko. He
also made his appearance on the hiphop stage, producing an album
HORE by a legendary rapper VIENIO of one of the first polish
hiphop groups MOLESTA. In addition, as a co-creator of MÓZG
FOUNDATION, he works on organizing cultural events in Bydgoszcz,
Warsaw and Sokolowsko. Since 2020 he is alao running his own radio
show « WARSTWY » for Radio Kapitał.CARVER [France]https://carverofficial.bandcamp.com/album/white-trashAvailability: On request
Territory: Europe + UKCarver « can go along obeying all the rules and then it don’t matter
anymore », far from an artificial mix of music styles, the band from
Nantes (France) is a perfect synthesis of power trio experiences :
Thomas Beaudelin guitar/vocal & saxophone (Café Flesh / Tom Bodlin /
Trombe), David Escouvois drums (Francky Goes to Pointe à Pitre / Mr
Protector / Mandrill) and Nicolas Monge bass (Nihil / My Own
Pleasure).
Their new EP « White Trash » is out, in keeping with their ongoing
savoir-faire : a sound made of sneaky noise rock and a straight to
the edge energy within 4 efficient tracks ! Record labels Araki Records,
Day Off records, Kerviniou Recordz et Pied de Biche have co-produced
the project.MICHAEL WOLLNY [Germany]https://www.actmusic.com/en/Artists/Michael-Wollny/Availability: On request
Territory: Europe + UKAs a pianist, Wollny has established himself one of the most
important figures on the instrument in our time. He is, as the Frankfurter
Allgemeine Zeitung has described him:
« the consummate piano maestro: One can justifiably name Michael
Wollny alongside phenomena like Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock,
Brad Mehldau, Stefano Bollani and Paul Bley. He has everything you
can demand of a perfect jazz pianist: masterly technique, exuberant
imagination, discipline and a talent for creative chaos, sensitivity
and aestheticism. »
Few people work the piano as physically hard as Wollny does, his
mind and body are always in constant motion. There is a viscerality about
his playing. His expressive power is irresistible; it comes from the
sheer energy levels he is capable of, from an inexhaustibly rich
imagination and from a phenomenal technique.
He has also probably won more awards in Germany than any other jazz
musician, plus a « Choc de l’annee » from the French jazz magazine
« Jazzman / Jazz Magazine », a Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Award, and the
Album of the Year at both Jazzwise and The Times (London) for
« Weltentraum » in 2014, an album which also made it into the German pop charts.
Most recently, Wollny’s response to the lockdown has been to turn
his gaze inwards and to record a solo album reflecting on the theme of
solitude, « Mondenkind ». Here again, the breadth of influences is
jaw-dropping: Alban Berg, Tori Amos, Sufjan Stevens, the Candian
band Timber Timbre – plus his own compositions.AY FAST (USA)https://soundcloud.com/ay-fast/sets/2021-1/s-po8NhYgGaEYAvailability: On request
Territory: Europe + UKWithout much fanfare, Ay Fast has been making some of the freshest, most
intriguing electronic music on the scene. Also a talented visual artist,
Ay Fast made his bones with Cleveland, Ohio’s Jerk — a gnashing,
tempestuous noise rock group that centered on cheap and
barely-functioning electronic gear systemically deconstructed by him and
his bandmates. Rarely did a gig pass without some patched-together
keyboard or synth ending up in the junk pile. But throughout Jerk’s
decade-long existence, Ay Fast was concocting addictive, spastic,
hypermelodic digital music. Periodically, CDRs and files would leak out
and make bigger name artists look foolish and boring. Long-running
taste-making electronic label Schematic noticed this stealthy game of
one-upmanship and began releasing Ay Fast’s music.
Now based just outside of Buffalo, New York, he has been churning out
killer beats and quirky melodies for years. Another person who noticed
was Beans — inimitable MC and former member of legendary underground
hip-hop aggregate Anti-Pop Consortium. Anti-Pop is a key influence on Ay
Fast’s unique take on the near-future sci-fi pulse that runs through his
music. Their collaboration makes perfect sense and brings us to Ay
Fast’s newest and most satisfying project to date — Icky Reels.
The Icky Reels solo soundworld is a natural extension of his production
work with Beans. Icky Reels illuminates your surroundings like the
neon-lit anime cityscapes of our impending mythical future. It’s just
around the corner and now you’ve got your cruising music. Plips, the
debut Icky Reels album on Tygr Rawwk Rcrds, hops genres and styles
effortlessly while melting the barriers between them at breakneck speed;
equal parts Clark’s Clarence Park and Quasimoto’s The Unseen.
Ay Fast has shared bills with acts as diverse as Venetian Snares to
Black Dice and Tobacco to Oneohtrix Point Never. He’s remixed Lee
Gamble, Nmesh, Danny Daze and more.PRESIDIOMODELO (Russia)https://presidiomodelo.bandcamp.com/Availability: January 2022 till late June 2022
Territories: Europe + UKPresidiomodelo is Novosibirsk-based group which explore the
immersive potential of sound structures. Other words, we are trying
to immersing the listener through the different states of
consciousness.
In Spanish « presidio modelo » means « model, exemplary prison » or
« exemplary imprisonment », but name « presidiomodelo » has nothing to
do with Cuba. It can be understood as a image of consciousness limited
by subjective experience. Or as an image of voluntary reclusion /
asceticism – the limitation of perception for concentration on the
only important here and now. Something like that 🙂
The trio was formed on the wreckage of the experimental theater
workshop « Ангел Копуста » in 2013.
All presidiomodelo members have a direct relationship to the
theater, most of the compositions are originally created as soundtracks for
the plays and installations.
The trio is not limited to purely sound studies but also experiments
with performative and installation practices. For example, as part
of the MYK group: https://mykfield.com/
I look forward to hearing from you soon. All the best.Alain

BEANS (USA)https://beansiswack.bandcamp.com/Availability: 2022

beatscapes. Founding member of legendary left-field rap act Anti-Pop
ConsortiumLAILA SAKINI (UK)https://lailasakini.bandcamp.com/Availability: 15th September – 15th December 2021 + from 15th January
2021 onwards
Territory: BelgiumAnother record that arrived just on the cusp of strange times™ and sold
out before anyone really had a chance to notice, Laila Sakini’s
‘Vivienne’ is an intimate collection of threadbare songs for piano,
voice and effects that evoke a tremendous sense of melancholy – like a
set of half-remembered earworms drifting into view decades later. It’s
an album that provided us with a strong sense of presque vu – a feeling
of being stood on the verge of some great inner realisation – and is
perhaps the most vital and real re-configuration of traditional
singer-songwriting we’ve come across since Grouper’s ‘Dragging A Dead
Deer’ re-aligned dreampop/shoegaze signatures into something much more
intangible and personal. For those of you who realise that not all quiet
music should be tagged « Ambient », this is perhaps the most important
intimate listening 2020 has to offer.JORDAN DYKSTRA (USA)https://jordandykstra.bandcamp.com/album/14-horse-bellsAvailability: March-April 2022
Territories: Europe + UKJordan Dykstra is a Brooklyn-based violist and composer exploring the
performer-composer-listener relationship through the incorporation of
conceptual, graphic, and text-based elements. His film music has been
heard at numerous film festivals (Cannes, Sundance, Rotterdam, TriBeCa,
Toronto, etc.) and his chamber music has been programmed in venues
around the world (Tokyo, Reykjavík, Los Angeles, Zürich, New York City,
São Paulo, Ostrava, Portland, Brussels, Berlin, Boston, etc.). Dykstra’s
2020 album The Arrow of Time was listed as one of the best Modern
Composition albums by The Wire and included in Best Contemporary
Classical Albums of 2020 by Bandcamp. In 2015 Dykstra founded Editions
Verde, a small-run cottage industry label exploring the connection
between sound and object.STILL HOUSE PLANTS [UK]https://soundcloud.com/stillhouseplantsAvailability. September and October 2021
Territory: EuropeArtists Finlay Clark, David Kennedy, Jessica Hickie-Kallenbach and Calum

Using the conventions of Western instrumentation, text pieces are linked
to obscured melodies, exploring the qualities of the human voice with a
grounding in a Minimalist approach to song structure, tempo and rhythm.
Through use of guitar, vocals, drums, saxophone, and violin, a grounding
is created; consciously not overusing instrumentation, the instruments
are pushed the furthest that they can go. Rather than using effects or
synths, the body is put into play, saturating the instruments for
everything they have.PATRICIA BRENNAN (USA)https://patriciabrennan.bandcamp.com/Availability: 16th-26th October + 1st-23rd November + 1st-12th December

FRESCHARD (France) + STANLEY BRINKS (France)
https://freschard.bandcamp.com/
https://stanleybrinks.bandcamp.com/
Availability:  Autumn 2021
Territory: Europe + UK
Stanley Brinks began performing officially as André Herman Düne in 1999, sharing lead vocals, guitar playing and songwriting with his brother David in the band Herman Düne for a number of years. They released several albums and toured extensively in UK, gaining and owing a lot to great support from John Peel. He has used many monikers for various side-projects, but since leaving Herman Düne in 2006, he has been known solely as Stanley Brinks. Born in Paris, Stan has been living between New York, San Francisco, Malta and Berlin for about a decade, always on the move. He has recorded more than 100 albums, collaborated with the New York Antifolk scene on several occasions, recorded and toured with traditional Norwegian musicians, and played a lot with The Wave Pictures.
Freschard grew up in a farm in French Burgundy. Aged 18 she moved to Paris, where she baked pies and cakes in a cafe. There, a local musician and regular customer called Stanley Brinks wrote a few songs for her to sing. Homeless in Paris, she saved up just enough money to get herself a ticket to New York. There she found an old electric guitar and started writing her own songs. In 2004 she moved to Berlin, where she recorded her first LP, « Alien Duck ». Her second album, « Click Click », recorded in 2006, features electric guitar by Stanley Brinks. On her third album, she plays the drums herself. On her fourth “Shh…” she also plays the flute. For this year’s “Boom Biddy Boom” she also plays the washboard.
