DELAY LINE MEMORY
Delay Line Memory is a fully improvised audio-visual interplay between man and machine, in an attempt to find a common language in electronic sound, rhythm and colour.
DLM was conceived by Bas van Koolwijk and is performed either solo or in combination with drums.

DAVID THOMAS AND THE TWO PALE BOYS
David Thomas is the founder of the legendary Pere Ubu, an avant-rock group that’s exerted a huge influence on the way countless bands have approached music since 1975. Formed in 1994, the two pale boys is one of a series of projects that redefine the partnership of voice and instrument in pursuit of a vehicle robust, spontaneous, and parochial enough to speak with the true voice of the human experience. It is urban folk music purged of urbanity, and rooted in the geography of sound.

PERE UBU FILM UNIT
The Pere Ubu Film Unit performs a live underscore to the 1962 cult B-movie film Carnival Of Souls (Dir. Herk Harvey, 1962, B&W).
The Pere Ubu Film Unit is a subset of the band. It previously performed to the original 3-D version of It Came From Outer Space and X, The Man With X-Ray Eyes. The material composed for the underscore that the Film Group performed in July 2013 was developed into a number of the songs from the Pere Ubu album Carnival of Souls, released in September 2014.

RADIAN
Austrian post-rock/electronic trio Radian use both acoustic and electronic instruments, and the group’s members often play their acoustic instruments in such a rhythmically precise manner that Radian sound more like an electronic act than a band. Bassist John Norman, drummer Martin Brandlmayr, and synth player Stefan Németh formed Radian in Vienna in 1996, although the group did not play its first show until a full year later. Soon after, the Rhiz label released the group’s self-titled EP in Austria. The group’s first full album, TG 11, was released jointly by Rhiz and Mego in 2000. In 2002, Radian traveled to Chicago to record with producer John McEntire, and the Thrill Jockey label released the resulting full-length, rec.extern, later that year. Rec.extern was the first Radian release to receive widespread distribution in the U.S., and in October 2002 the group toured the Northeast and Midwest to support the album. Juxtaposition saw Radian team up with John McEntire again and was released on Thrill Jockey in August of 2004. Németh departed Radian in 2011, replaced by Martin Siewert on guitar and electronics.

EUGENE CHADBOURNE
n his compulsive own, Eugene Chadbourne (previously the guitarist and leader of Shockabilly) has spewed forth a ceaseless stream of records and cassettes (the latter on his own Parachute label) that easily represent the oddest version of country and folk music ever. While the notable left-winger’s guitar playing is looser than clams, it harbors wildly unique energy. He also plays the electric rake. The North Carolinian is the master of several different voices, some of them deceptively sincere. Harsh, funny, irritating and packed with ideas, Chadbourne often suggests a politically correct.

BKO QUINTET
A fascinating mix of the old and the new
The BKO Quintet was founded during the state of emergency in Mali in 2012. Even though the tracks on the quintet’s album « Bamako Today » feature primarily traditional Malian instruments, the resulting sound is anything but typical of the music of this country. According to Richard Marcus, it is raw and both extraordinary and thrilling to the ear.

I would like to hear from you asap.

Regards.

Alain

Territory: Belgium, holland, germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, UK!

JAMES CHANCE AND THE CONTORTIONS
A key figure in No Wave, Chance has been playing a combination of improvisational jazz-like music and punk in the New York music scene since the late 1970s, in such bands as Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, James Chance and the Contortions, James White and the Blacks, The Flaming Demonics, James Chance & the Sardonic Symphonics, James Chance and Terminal City, and James Chance and Les Contortions. His music can be described as combining the freeform playing of Ornette Coleman with the solid funk rhythm of James Brown, though filtered through a punk rock lens.

COCAINE PISS
Cocaine Piss hails from Liège, Belgium. This female fronted punk band is the best thing the city has delivered since Hiatus. Simple, fast, effective, aggressive yet loving. Their style is like being asked out on a speed-date in the middle of a highway with 20 minutes to bust out your quickest dance moves.

LE VOLUME COURBE
French-born Charlotte moved to London in 1995 after growing up in a small town in Pays de la Loire. She had a brief spell in a band there, but found that in London, “music is just so much more a part of the culture,
unselfconsciously. Here, music comes to you. ” In ‘97, two years after she arrived, she recorded a duet with Simon Raymonde (a single, “In My Place” – a Robert Mitchum cover).
ettling in England, Charlotte began composing and making tracks, receiving vital encouragement from musicians like Hope Sandoval, Kevin Shields, David Roback and Colm O’Ciosoig, all of whom contributed to her debut album.

PRINZHORN DANCE SCHOOL
and Suzi Horn. They work from a disused church in the UK where they make all of their music and visual art. Their debut album came out on the new york label dfa records, released in the UK by EMI. It prompted the british guardian newspaper to describe them as “the least commercially viable group ever signed to a major label.”
Prinz and horn do make music that is sparse, original, uncompromising and idiosyncratic. But never for the sake of it.

SIMO LAGNAWI
oundary pushing young Gnawa Master Simo lagnawi has been tearing up the London ‘World music’ scene, bringing Gnawa fusion to new heights. Weaving the ancient African musical form with Jazz, Electronic, Blues, Folk, Funk, Samba, African drums, music from India, Japan, South America,
Simo learnt from many great Gnawa Masters in Morocco over the last 23 years. He perfected the Guembri, hundreds of traditional songs, percussion, and dance, to become a well respected Maalem (master) of Gnawa, and expert on his genre.
Simo has the gift to be able to invoke trance, and cleanse the spirits of others with Sacred Gnawa music.

SETH FAERGOLGIA
Multibird is the brand new project by Seth Faergolzia. Seth is well known for subtly harmonic, experimental lyricism, dynamic song structures, and whip-crack-acrobatic vocals. Celebrated as a vibrant example of what happens when a musician turns a genre like folk upside down and inside out, over time Faergolzia has come to represent something of a genre unto himself oft times nowhere near the folk aesthetic.

SUSANNA
Norwegian singer/pianist Susanna Wallumrød began performing in Norway in 2000 as Susanna & the Magical Orchestra with keyboardist Morten Qvenild. The duo’s unique blend of atmospheric jazz, rock, and electronica spawned List of Lights and Buoys (2004) and Melody Mountain (2006). Susanna released her debut solo album, the quiet, all-original ambient pop collection Sonata Mix Dwarf Cosmos, on the Rune Grammofon label in 2007, followed by an all-new mix of covers and originals (Flower of Evil) in 2008. The following year, Susanna & the Magical Orchestra’s album 3 arrived, featuring work by Wildbirds & Peacedrums’ Mariam Wallentin and Susanna’s brother, drummer Fredrik Wallumrød. She contributed to Giovanna Pessi’s 2011 ECM album If Grief Could Wait, while Susanna’s third solo album, Wild Dog — which featured contributions from members of Arcade Fire and Bonnie « Prince » Billy’s band — arrived in 2012. The following year, she teamed with Ensemble neoN for The Forester, a set of chamber folk songs released via her own SusannaSonata imprint.

MARY ORCHER + YOUR GOVERNMENT
The international subculture heroine returns, after touring nearly the entire earth with previous album (EDEN, produced by King Khan, currently in its second edition / via North America thrice, SE Asia, Aus, NZ, and all of Europe from Iceland to Russia, along with several UK tours).
The show is a larger-scale, multi-disciplinary performance with two drummers, costumes, video projections and smoke.
While the new full-length album Mary Ocher + Your Government was just released in January on Krautrock veteran’s Hans Joachim Irmler’s (Faust) label Klangbad. Ocher’s next release will be a 10 » on Sean Lennon’s label Chimera Music.
She has previously played alongside the likes of Ariel Pink, CocoRosie, Bobby Conn and Cat Power, hopped through festivals such as Pop Montreal, CTM, SXSW, Reeperbahn and recently a sold-out show at Berlin’s PopKultur Festival (Berlin Music Week). She has also received the noteworthy scholarship by The Berlin Music Board.

SCANNER
Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner is an artist and composer working in the UK, whose works traverse the experimental terrain between sound, space, and image, connecting a bewilderingly diverse array of genres – a partial list would include sound design, film scores, computer music, avant garde, contemporary composition, large-scale multimedia performances, productdesign, architecture, fashion design, rock music and jazz.

SILVER APPLES
Decades after their brief yet influential career first ground to a sudden and mysterious halt, Silver Apples remained one of pop music’s true enigmas: a surreal, almost unprecedented duo, their music explored interstellar drones and hums, pulsing rhythms and electronically-generated melodies years before similar ideas were adopted in the work of acolytes ranging from Suicide to Spacemen 3. Silver Apples will present a new album in 2016, set to be released in April.

DESERT MOUNTAIN TRIBE
Desert Mountain Tribe is a psychedelic band from London who recently released a debut EP. The band made a name for themselves in England with sizzling performances, sharing the stage with Wovenhand, Damo Suzuki and The Telescopes among others. The band makes grand, epic, sharp and properly English psych-rock, with an Oasis-attitude and a hint of Tame Impala.

JOZEFALEKSANDERPEDRO
A belgo-peruvian multi.instrumentalist enfant terrible out of 1978, creates his own DIY instrumental music, nowadays also, but not exclusively, purely based on a cheap feedback sensitive unisono soprano octave electric guitar.
In 2014 he participated in the impressive 100 electric guitar orchestra of Glenn Branca, going in worldpremière in the Parisian La Philharmonie with his Symphonie n°16, named Orgasm.
The music makes one think about a mix of early Blonde Redhead, Oren Ambarchi & Glenn Branca.

NICOLA CRUZ
Nicola Cruz’s music invokes the landscapes and rituals of his homeland, Ecuador, a country that is home both to the Andes
mountains and the Amazon jungle. His music is an exploration of ancient mythologies and folkloric traditions in a modern setting.
Nicola was born in Limoges, France, to Ecuadorian parents. His upbringing was surrounded by a rich musical education in both
indigenous traditions and Western theories and from a young age he took to percussion.

I hope to hear from you asap.

Thanks for reading.

Regards.

REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER
When France’s REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER released its first record
back in 2013, a self-titled LP, they immediately aroused huge
expectations from both traditionnal metal fans and sludge/post-metal
lovers, mixing a dark and oppressive doom approach with a strong
mystic black metal legacy in an unique and deeply emotional way.
At the end of the same year, they already had reached the
prestigious stages of Hellfest, Motocultor and Roadburn Festival,
and quickly played club shows alongside with great figures of modern
metal such as Enslaved, Kylesa, Yob, Napalm Death and Wolves In The
Throne Room.
Their live shows, rares, played in the dark with a massive and
sludgy sound are highly anticipated by a growing audience mesmerized
by their mystic shows, drowned in despair and exalted by epic
glacial epiphanies.
September 2015 saw the release of their second LP « Exile ». Both
subtly assimilating its influences and distancing current post-black
metal hype, REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER recorded a deeply personal
album, massively metal and emotional in a dark, thrilling and
transcendental way. They notably introduced the album to french
audience sharing the stage with Amenra.

THE LORANES
The newest project of ex-Kadavar bass player Mammut indulges in
snotty and dirty Garage Rock aching to the Black Rebel Motorcycle
Club-school of Fuzz Rock and smelling of sweat and worn leather.

THE WHAMMIES
Featuring luminaries from the improvised music scenes in Boston,
Chicago and the Netherlands, THE WHAMMIES is a new quintet devoted
to
the repertoire and musical spirit of the late soprano saxophonist
STEVE LACY. The group plays colorful renditions of well-known Lacy
tunes such as Bone, As Usual, and Dutch Masters, and some of his
more conceptual and experimental works such as The Wire, Ducks, and
The Precipitation Suite. Violinist Mary Oliver joins the quintet for
a selection of compositions and improvisations.

MASSIMO PUPILLO + METTE RASMUSSEN
Mette Rasmussen is a Danish saxophonist working in the field of
improvised music, drawing from a wide range of influences. She spans
from free jazz to textural soundwork, exploring the natural rawness
of her instrument and dives in to experimenting on what the
saxophone is capable of in sound and expression, with and without
preparations.
Massimo Pupillo is a bass player, improviser and composer, born in
Rome, Italy .
Since 1991 he’s an active engine of the italian experimental-
avant–free music scene. He’s been a member of the well- known
experimental collective Gronge untill ‘97 and then with two
members of that band started the trio ZU, gaining status of cult
band worldwide.

ZU
Although difficult to define, Zu’s style could be characterised as
a fusion of math rock, heavy metal and noise rock, but with the
caveat that it does not respect boundaries or genres. The music is
instrumental, and features virtuosic drumming, powerful bass and
distorted saxophone.

ALEX BONNEY
lex Bonney is a trumpeter, electronic musician and recording/mix
engineer and producer based in London. He was born in Reading in
1978 and grew up in the flight path of Concorde, instilling a deep
attachment to subsonic frequencies.

ROSCOE MITCHELL
Internationally renowned musician, composer, and innovator, began
his distinguished career in the spirited 1960s of Chicago, Illinois.
His role in the resurrection of long neglected woodwind instruments
of extreme register, his innovation as a solo woodwind performer,
his and his reassertion of the composer into what has traditionally
been an improvisational form have placed him at the forefront of
contemporary music for over four decades. A leader in the field of
avant-garde jazz and contemporary music, Mr. Mitchell is a founding
member of the world renowned Art Ensemble of Chicago, the

MAELSTROM

Though his name suggests total chaos, Maelstrom’s music belies

intention, focus and precision. Often marked as ‘exciting newcomer’ to

French techno, Maelstrom has actually been making music for over fifteen

years. With a cryptic history of aliases and side projects, illegal

raves thrown in warehouses.

RICHARD YOUNGS

Richard Youngs is a British musician with a prolific and diverse output,

including many collaborations. Based in Glasgow since the early 1990s,

his extensive back catalogue of solo and collaborative work formally

begins with Advent, first issued in 1990. He plays many instruments,

most commonly choosing the guitar, but he has been known to use a wide

variety of other instruments including the shakuhachi, accordion,

theremin, dulcimer, a home-made synthesizer (common on early recordings)

and even a motorway bridge. He also released an album which was entirely

a cappella.

BLACK LUNG

In the deadly cold winter of 2014, Black Lung emerged from the

underbelly of Baltimore with unprecedented amounts of volume. A union of

Adam Bufano, Elias Mays Schutzman (of The Flying Eyes) and

multi-instrumentalist Dave Cavalier, the trio toes the line between

sonic pain and psychedelic bliss. With influences ranging from the raw

edged blues-rock of early Black Keys and White Stripes to the stoned out

riffage of Queens Of The Stone Age and Sleep, Black Lung seeks to create

a sound that is as soulful as it is heavy. After releasing their

self-titled debut (Grimoire Records/Noisolution) and being named « Best

New Band of 2014 » by the Baltimore City Paper, they embarked on their

first short tour throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Black Lung

will now return to Europe in the Spring of 2015 for a three week tour

surrounding their performance at the Rockpalast Crossroads Festival,

filmed and recorded for German national television.

JUCIFER

ucifer are a two piece American sludge metal band whose albums have been

released by Alternative Tentacles, Capricorn Records, and Relapse

Records along with their own imprint Nomadic Fortress Records. The

band’s members are Gazelle Amber Valentine on lead guitar and vocals,

and her husband Edgar Livengood on drums. Jucifer is notable for the

extreme volume at which they perform, and the gigantic wall of

amplification used for Valentine’s guitar, as well as the dichotomy that

has existed between much of the recorded material and their live shows.

They are also notable for incessant touring beginning in the mid-90’s.

In 2000 Jucifer moved into an RV and became completely « nomadic in

nature », preferring to tour constantly, living in their tour vehicle,

rather than following the normal practice of album release/tour/time at

home.

MATHIAS DELPLANQUE

Mathias Delplanque (born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 1973) is a

composer, a performer, a music critic, an author of sound installation

and the founding member of several musical ensembles. He lives and works

in Nantes (France).

His work as a composer started in 1998 as he graduated from the Fine

Arts school and decided to put an end to his sculpture activity to turn

towards sound creation. He since released several records and

collaborated with musicians from various points of the musical spectrum

(Rob Mazurek, Steve Argüelles, Myra Melford, Shahzad Ismaïly, Ghislain

Poirier, Julien Jacob, Daniel Givens, Black Sifichi…). His installation

works are frequently shown in galleries and art centers, and he

regularly performs on stage, solo or accompanied by other musicians.

NICOLA CRUZ

Nicola Cruz’s music invokes the landscapes and rituals of his homeland,

Ecuador, a country that is home both to the Andes mountains and the

Amazon jungle. His music is an exploration of ancient mythologies and

folkloric traditions in a modern setting. Nicola was born in Limoges,

France, to Ecuadorian parents. His upbringing was surrounded by a rich

musical education in both indigenous traditions and Western theories and

from a young age he took to percussion.

From this musical connection between past and present, traditional and

modern, an ongoing South American movement has arisen, exploring the

local indigenous and Afro-cosmologies through a carefully crafted

analogue sound.

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible if you’re interested in

setting up a gig for any of these bands/artists.

Regards.
